Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
Getting up before 8:00 this
morning was a treat because we didn’t even need to open the window shades to
see Sunlight seeping into the room. After
having four days with little to no sunlight of which three of those days were
filled with rain this was a welcoming sight. Even as we enjoyed our breakfast
we got to watch as the birds were busy tending to their nests and rabbits
stuffing themselves with the greens from our grass. Nature was appreciating the
Sun and everything it was giving them.
We spent part of the
morning getting caught up on our reading before doing our chores. Around 10:30 I
called to wish my uncle a Happy 82nd
Birthday. Since they moved back to Windsor from London to be closer to family
this past November we’ll be able to visit them more often.
For lunch we shared a Sandwich and Salad topped off with Blackberry
covered Yogurt for dessert.
With it still being quite
chilly outside due to the Northeast Wind
Kathy wanted to do more research on the places we plan on returning to in the
southwest this fall so I headed outside to do other chores.
Since our return to McGregor
in April the Solar Panels have not
been tilted but are keeping our Batteries charged. We’ve also heard a lot of
bird activity on our roof in the last couple of weeks so Kathy suggested that I
check it out. There were signs that a nest was being made but the idea was
dashed by all the high winds we have also been getting. What twigs and grass I did
bring down ended up inside our Firepit for kindling.
While doing my weekly
draining of our waste tanks I had the chance to speak with Larry and Nicole.
They were amazed that we were still here after all the rain and cold temps we’ve
been getting. I finally got the last of the things we carry in the basement put
in the shed so when the trailer goes in for all the warranty work the RV Techs will have easy access to the
rear wall.
Kathy was still doing
research when I finished my few chores so I walked over to the Park Workout
Room for a bit of exercise. The
equipment really limits what I can do but it is better then nothing and I was
feeling much better by the time I got back Home.
Our Weber Q once again was used to cook an Acorn Squash and Hotdogs
for supper and while we were eating, it also grilled up a Pork Roast that we’ll use for multiple other meals this coming
week.
With no cloud cover in our
area for tonight the temperatures will drop below the Freezing Mark so I’ll be disconnecting our water feed at the post
tonight to prevent damage to our filtering system. Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

When are you getting the slide fixed? Are you going to a motel while they do that?
