Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
We hope that all our
readers enjoyed a Wonderful Mothers Day
with their families.
Coming Home early from the Welcome Back Party at the Park Clubhouse last night had not been our intention but ended
up being necessary so that we wouldn’t embarrass ourselves by falling asleep at
the table. I had partially written some of our Blog before we had left but Kathy was still nearly falling asleep
in her chair waiting for me to finish so that she could Proof Read it.
When I got up and started
opening the window shades this morning the only thing visible in the sky were
clouds. Checking the Weather Network it
was showing low temperatures that had not been forecasted so the Electric Fireplace was immediately
turned on to take the dampness out of the air. When Kathy joined me downstairs
it seemed like the sky was greeting her and the clouds started letting the Sun shine through. Once breakfast was
over we brought our Coffee/Tea over
to the Computers to finish while we
got our morning reading completed.
Since we’ll have to empty
our Fridge and Freezer when we have the slide repair done Kathy has been slowly
using things up from the Freezer. This
morning she had me chopping up some vegetables while she started heating up
some Turkey Stock to make some Homemade Turkey Noodle Soup. Having
that simmering on the stove was making it difficult for me to concentrate on
the job I was doing upstairs.
Last Friday I managed to
get the wiring in our Electrical Panel
modified and our new Maxx Air Exhaust
Vent installed but not connected. Yesterday there just wasn’t any time to
finish the job. This morning it took about fifteen minutes to get the Wiring completed at the fan, the trim
adjusted and mounted. The biggest problem was finding a 5 Amp fuse. I have Glass Fuses,
Mini Fuses, Resettable, Automatic Fuses
but it took nearly a half hour to find a 5 Amp
fuse. The fan works like a charm and Kathy likes the fact that it is reversible
so now we’ll be able to stay cool at night when we are “Off the Grid” and not using the AC.
The Homemade Turkey Noodle Soup was very filling, tasty and it helped
take the chill we had been feeling all morning. Since we’ve returned from our Southwest trip we’ve both had trouble
feeling warm with the below normal temperatures our area has been experiencing
this spring. The best part is there is there is enough soup for another meal.
While Kathy continued
working in the kitchen I walked down to the Park Trash and Recycle Area before returning and doing other outdoor chores.
I put tools and electrical supplies away, dumped our tanks, checked our Propane, swept our Patio and gathered a lot of the small twigs and put them in our Firepit.
Around 4:30 we headed for Tecumseh
to our daughter Karen and son-in-law Greg’s home. We arrived just as Greg was
finishing assembling new Patio Furniture.
We had been invited over for a light Barbecue
to celebrate Mothers Day. The meal
was great but being able to visit with the family was the best part of all.
It was after 8:00 before we
started heading Home
and even though the sunset was nice it only made us yearn more to be back in
the desert of Arizona.
Thanks for following along and
feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Glad you got the Maxx Air fan going. You will really enjoy it when you head out for the southwest in 170 days.
ReplyDeleteDuring the time we were downstate visiting with family I never even opened up the computer so I am now catching up. Sounds like you two have been busy, as always. Glad to read you were able to open your slide, finally. It is amazing how much roomier a slide makes it feel but having total access to the kitchen must be the best part. Also glad to read you did not float away with all the rain. Sorry to read you still were not able to get the personal use sticker. Sounds like a nice Mother's Day and what beautiful flowers from a lovely daughter.
