With the warm temperatures we’ve been experiencing in this area we have had to run our AC to keep the apartment comfortable. To shut the AC down at night would be a total waste because it would then take until the next night for the apartment to cool down again. The only problem has been that the last few days the outside temperatures have been dropping into the 50s at night. With the warmer temps we were sleeping on top of the sheets with no covers but this morning when I awoke my feet were feeling like a couple of blocks of ice.
Once we had enjoyed our coffee and toast with Rhubarb sauce for breakfast we settled into reading on the computers. It was sad to read about the elite Hotshot Fire Crew that lost their lives trying to stop the wildfires from reaching the town of Yarnell Arizona. Kathy and I along with most of our readers I’m sure are not only praying for those lost but the loved ones they left behind.
After lunch we had plans to go store walking again but with the recent increase of one of Kathy’s medications she needed to have a Snap (short nap) first. The major warning on the medication hand out is that it will cause drowsiness until your body becomes used to the dosage. Once Kathy had rested we headed out the door.
Our first stop was at Toys-R-Us to look around for Christmas Gift ideas for some of our younger grandchildren. We really debated a few possibilities but only found a couple that turned out to be practical. So just like last week and yesterday we managed to make a couple more purchases that will be enjoyed in another 176 days.
We still needed to make another stop but were starting to feel hungry so we stopped at Taco Bell for some tacos for our supper. If you had asked Kathy last year if she would like to go there she would have said no but while we were in Florida this past winter she tried the hard shelled tacos and instantly liked them. Now I only have to suggest stopping there and her answer is yes.

Kathy and I would like to welcome our newest follower Mark Johnson from the blog post Box Canyon Blog. Mark is very much the Philosopher in his writings but the photographs that he presents on the South West are unbelievably breathe taking. Along with his wife Bobbie artistic Water Colored paintings that she creates and sells of things she sees from on their hikes will leave you in awe.
Tomorrow is Wednesday and we have plenty of things that will be keeping us busy. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
