Day of Accomplishments.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Even though we had made plans to run some errands today we had a late start. We both tossed and turned so much through the night that we didn’t wake up until after 9:00 this morning. That’s right we slept in! We had to hurry as some of our stops had limited hours to be open because it is Saturday. So we hustled in order to make up time. After a quick breakfast of toast and coffee I took my morning shower and we were out the door shortly after 10:00.
First stop was the Credit Union to have cash in our pockets for when we have to eat out. That method of payment rather than using a debit or credit card helps you to keep excess spending and eating under control. The next stop was at the Devonshire Mall at the Bay entrance where I dropped Kathy off so she could get some walking in before we met at the food court for lunch.
My next stop was at Canadian Blood Services (formerly the Canadian Red Cross) for my first blood donation since my surgery. With this being my 83rd time donating most of the staff came by for a short visit asking why they hadn’t seen me. I also made my donation on behalf of my friend Ernie who is presently being treated for cancer and has required a few blood transfusions. I highly recommend anyone who is capable of donating to do so because there are many people out there needing your help.
Kathy was waiting at the food court in the mall when I got there ten minutes late. Of course we chose to eat at Taco Bell and by my choosing to add fries to my order lowered our cost by two dollars because it made one order a combo. We took our time eating and people watching and listening to someone talking five tables away who was probably hard of hearing and in order to hear himself so did everyone else around him.
When lunch was over we headed to a store that we had ordered a couple of Christmas Gifts and had received a call last night that they were in. There is only 150 days until the big day and even the weather Channel mentioned it saying there was less than five months to go. We’re hoping to be on the road exactly five months from today heading back to Florida. We are counting down the days and trying to get all of our appointments and jobs done before we leave. We made another stop at the Bell outlet where Jay gave us back our hub with the explanation a work order has been made on our behalf. That means Bell will replace the hub for us but this way we can re-establish our home phone line in the meantime. Seems the trouble with our internet never ends.
Kathy's Mile High Apple, Strawberry and Rhubarb Pie.
We made a stop for gas for the car before going to the grocery store so Kathy could do some planned baking when we got home. Tomorrow we might go for a short visit so things will be different. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

Rob: I don't know why this is news to you two. Every day I leave this house to go to work. Every day.
Bucky (his cat): I'll play along. What is it that you do that someone actually pays you for?
Rob: Well, lots of things. In my new capacity as a senior associate, I wear many hats. Today—
Bucky: OK, now we're getting somewhere, you're a hat tester? (silent pause)
Why are you looking at me like that? Is it a secret? Are they spy hats?
