Getting Somewhere and Hot Weather.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Even with the best of intentions things don’t always work out the way you want. I’m referring to getting to sleep at the normal time and waking early to work on the truck. Making certain Kathy took a Tylenol Sinus and Allergy tablet last night she was able to breathe fairly easy all night. Unfortunately we both had restless nights continually waking until we both fell into a deep sleep around 6:30 only to wake up around 8:00.

Breakfast was cereal and coffee and I was outside before 9:00. Kathy busied herself going through her closet making certain that the clothes she had kept fit properly and still appealed to her. In the end she had managed to add a few more articles to her donate pile. By noon I came in needing a rest and was halfway finished the job.

Kathy already had lunch made by then and only had to wait for me to change before sitting down to eat. I especially was enjoying the coolness of the Air Conditioning which felt great. The outdoor Heat Index at noon was already at the century mark. Kathy remarked that the electricity had gone off twice through the course of the morning probably from everyone running their ACs and taxing the grid.

By 1:00 I was back out at the truck wanting to finish the job. What remained was my laying under the truck and running the wire to the main feed. Luckily it felt cooler in the shade of the truck but by the time I had finish and was putting my tools away I was starting to feel disoriented. Proof of the way I was feeling was when I went to store the tool box and a container of connectors spilled all over the back seat. I collected them but still have to reorganize them.

I was back in the apartment by 2:30 and the outside Heat Index had risen to 108 F (42C). After a refreshing shower I sat at the computer catching up on my morning blog reading. For supper I grilled a couple of nice chicken breasts on our Weber Q out on the balcony while Kathy made a nice Greek salad to top off supper. As we were finishing our meal Karen our daughter called to say everyone at their house was off doing something different so it would be better for us to get together later this week. Normally we visit their house every Sunday night unless something like this comes up. Kathy made a nice Strawberry sundae and we sat and enjoyed that.

Tomorrow I’ll be getting the tire on the truck repaired and we’ll see what else happens. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
