Hurry and Wait.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Things were starting to look up this morning because I actually slept until nearly 8:00 making it good in one respect but bad in another. The bad part was that since I’ve been waking up so early lately I didn’t set the alarm clock and Kathy was scheduled for a bone density test this morning. We did manage to hustle through breakfast and make it over to the clinic just on time for them to be calling her name. I was relieved that we’d made it on time and started to do a crossword puzzle that I never got the chance to finish. The way the test used to be done and the way it’s done today are different and it only took a couple of minutes for Kathy to be coming out.
From there we headed to Shoppers Drug Mart to pick up some vitamin pills that we both take and to check if Kathy’s prescription was ready. With a negative answer we headed over to the Devonshire Mall where Kathy wanted to return a top she had purchased at Sears. We continued walking through the mall to get some exercise and looking for gift ideas.
We stopped at the store called Lids because they had closed their other location at the Tecumseh Mall. We wanted to order additional hats and visors with our blog logo It’s about time on them because we needed back-ups for when the others need cleaning. They said it would take twenty minutes per hat and visor so we went walking again. We continued walking through a few stores that gave us great ideas for gifts and we were able to order a couple of things from one store that had just sold out of their stock.
It was nearing lunch so we headed to the food court where we patronized Taco Bell again enjoying a light but filling lunch. We took our time eating and even stayed well beyond talking of things we need to do as well as people watching. We noted people that worked at the mall wearing jackets or sweaters and were wondering what that was all about. We suddenly realized that we were feeling cold from just sitting there because of the Air Conditioned mall.
Our Friend Bill thought this was as close as he'd like to get to this guy.
Returning to Lids our hats were ready for us and it didn’t take us long to leave the mall. We headed back to Shoppers Drug Mart to pick up Kathy’s medication. Would you believe they weren’t ready four hours later? The reason was the right prescription from the right doctor but for someone whose name spelled close to Kathy’s but not the same and was not on file had been called in. After my request that they call the doctor back was denied I then demanded they do so. The doctor’s office verified the prescription and Kathy’s name and the name of the person who had taken the call. We were home less than ten minutes later.
Even Vera and Kathy were happy not to meet this guy outside.

Back at the apartment I updated a spreadsheet that we use for listing Kathy’s medication on because she has to see her cardiologist on Monday. When we are traveling or are seeing numerous doctors for different reasons we don’t have to sit for extended periods of time filling in forms of medical history or medications all we do is give them a printed copy.
It also seemed odd that this evening both our computers that have different antivirus programs were alerting us that documents we have created were viruses causing a threat to our computers. We’ll deal with that in the morning. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

A little boy came running into the kitchen.

"Dad, dad," he said, "There's a monster at the door with a really ugly face."

"Tell him you've already got one," said the father.
