Our Location today is Alachua ,
Florida .
I was feeling well enough rested this morning that I was
reading blogs by 7:00 and Kathy woke much
later. It had dipped below 50 last night but by 9:30
this morning it was nearing 65 and topped off the day closer to 80.
Shortly after breakfast Kathy and I went for a walk around
the campground. This helped to limber us up from the past few days of
inactivity. The Traveler’s Campground isn’t a very fancy place with a lot of
amenities but it does have full hook ups and a pool. They not only guide you to
your sites but they will actually hook up your utilities for you. For those traveling
with children they also have exotic birds to see as well as goats, cows, a
horse, mules and an Emu. This is not a petting zoo but horse and mules are
gentle enough to pet over the fence.By lunch time we were wearing our shorts and sandals in order to keep cool which is far better than the snow boots and heavy coats we were wearing last week at home. We finished fine tuning the inside of the trailer this afternoon after which I needed to go exchange a piece of wood that I purchased yesterday.
Strange nobody was in the pool this morning. |
Kathy and I enjoying the change of weather two days can make. |
For supper I barbecued hamburgers while I prepped the truck
for our departure in the morning. The weather channel is reporting more of the
same temperatures for the remainder of the week.
Kathy and I would like to welcome two new followers to our
post. First is Jo-Anne with her dog Fred from the blog Moms
Little Runaway and The Tin Can Cabin who we have been reading through
many transitions in her RVing lifestyle. The second person we’d like to welcome
aboard is Michelle Flores but unfortunately there is no blogger information for
us to follow or give a shout out for others to read.
Again my apologies on the lack of pictures but I’ll let you
all know when it’s been fixed. Thanks for following along and feel free to
leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
