Another Day Exploring Tarpon Springs Docks.

Our Location today is Tarpon Springs, Florida.

Kathy didn’t sleep to well because she was having troubles with her CPAP machine and mask. Around 3:00 it just became too much for her to stand and she got up to find the backup equipment we always bring along with us. Being that there is higher humidity here in Florida she had not lowered the moisture level on her machine and combined the two were nearly drowning her with too much moisture. She had also developed a leak in the air hose and a tear in her nose pillow which had air blowing in her face instead of into her lungs. By 3:30 we had that changed and she was finally able to get some decent sleep time in before morning.
Kathy had bought Strawberries at a roadside stand the other day that were so tasty and sweet but she had also frozen more than half. This morning she defrosted the Strawberries mixed them with a bit of Maple Syrup and we put them on our Ego Waffles with Whipped Cream for breakfast. They were delicious!
This Urn was produced in 1940. What would you put in something of this size?
After cleaning up the morning dishes we set our sites on returning back to the Tarpon Springs Dock section. Yesterday we had spent part of the afternoon on a boat tour which had taken us out into the Gulf of Mexico. We had also toured much of the touristy section before calling it a day.

Today we went back to see what we had missed including the Tarpon Springs Aquarium. Even though it was not a large place you could actually participate in feeding some of the sharks. We learned of many of the different species they had and how they can only keep certain ones in captivity for so long before they start becoming aggressive with the divers who enter the tank to feed then as well as the other fish.

They also had a few different types of snakes, a few alligators and eels. One display that was very interesting was a living corral reef with many of the tropical fish that would normally use them to live in if they were at sea.
By the time we left there it was past lunch and because we were much further down the street than yesterday we ate at a different restaurant called Plaka. Kathy had a New York Beef sandwich with pimentos. It was tender, tasty and filling leaving her very satisfied.
Myself I really wasn’t overly hungry so I just ordered a Gyro thinking that should hold me over. Wrong! This turned out to be the biggest Gyro I’d ever seen. This Gyro was like eating at an All You Can Eat Buffet. Kathy had finished eating her sandwich, gone to the bathroom and returned to sit a while longer while I finished eating this Gyro.
After waddling back to the truck we took a small drive around the rest of the town of Tarpon Springs away from the touristy trappings before heading back to the trailer. We went back out to run a few more errands before calling it a day.

For supper tonight we were more than satisfied with a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
