Peace Offering and Getting Things Done.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I had never seen Kathy as upset with anyone, as she was with me last night. When she went to Bed the last time, I knew that she was still angry because she actually closed the door, which is something she has never done. I spent only Thirty Minutes in my Recliner before heading to Bed. There was a chill in the room and it was not from the fan circulating the air.

Though I remained in Bed for the next Seven and a Half Hours it was far from restful. By the time I had things ready for a quick breakfast, Kathy joined me, not saying a word. The Icy Stare said a lot more. We had our Coffees at the Computers, before Kathy headed to get dressed. Without another word she took the box of Seat Covers off the shelf and headed out the door. They were purchased during the Winter, but with my long legs and our small Car, trying to do that would twist my Hip in Pain that I would regret.

I cleaned up a few things before heading outside, hoping that she was not coming up as I was doing down. When Kathy went out earlier, she failed to bring any Water to drink. She was halfway to the building when I gave her the Large Water Mug. It was like a Piece Offering that she happily accepted. It was like giving her a life boost.

Inside the Apartment, she needed to cool down, so I started making lunch. Not being brought up around a stove, most of what I do is self taught through experimentation. I created a nice Homemade Salad with Grilled Chicken, and it tasted wonderful, but I messed up. I was down to the last few bites, when I realized that I forgot to add the Feta Cheese. Try, try again.

We were just finishing up when, our daughter Karen called inviting Kathy over, so I could do what I needed to do. That sounded good to Kathy, so Thirty-Five Minutes later we arrived at her house in Tecumseh. She had just returned from dropping her Car off for repair from being Rear-Ended Two Weeks ago. Though I would have liked to go to the Gym, I had errands to run.

I will be so glad when the Construction Season is over. It adds time and confusion to drivers who don’t know how to drive under those conditions. Lucky for me, I am very familiar with most of the City Roads and Shortcuts.

The first stop was Guardian Storage, to pick up our Mail and my Package delivery.

Since I had barely made it across the Railroad Tracks before the gates came down for a Long Freight Train, so I headed towards the Central Overpass. Minutes later I walked into Windsor Gas and Diesel to talk to Jim. I explained that with the Medical Problems that I had been having and it was my fault that the Truck Battery was Dead. That did not matter because they are still under Warranty. I also found out that his Mother and Kathy have the same problem. I had him do a quick look at the Car. The rear Brake Pads are wearing down and he will make another adjustment for me.

Since it was on the Sweaty Side, I headed home to clean up the Air Conditioner. It reached 82 F (28 C) under bright Sunny conditions. I used the Shop-Vac inside cleaning the Filter and Louvers, before heading outside on the Balcony to clean all the debris from there. When I turned it on for the first time this season, there was no Dust blowing out the Vent. I heard that Kathy was ready to come home, so I left it on to cool the Apartment.

Back at Karen’s I learned that Kathy had helped organize things with Karen, before they walked down to the Community Mailbox to collect their Mail and some exercise. Karen told me that Kathy repeatedly made the same Statements and asked the same Questions the entire time she was there.

On our way home, she asked about the Truck repeatedly and did not notice it sitting directly across from the Car, when we pulled in.

I was getting things ready for supper, when Jim called, saying that he could come out to change the Batteries tonight. I thanked him for the offer, but said we would see him in the morning.

Kathy and I shared a Store-bought Thin-Crust Medium Bacon Pizza that I added Mozzarella Cheese on for supper.

On the “6 o’clock Local News”, they showed Gasoline Prices will be dropping Ten Cents a Litre (Thirty-Eight Cents a US Gallon) by tomorrow. With all the extra traveling that we have been doing, it will come in handy. After tomorrow we will be back to Spring Like Temperatures.

We later watched a movie called “The Lakehouse”.

We’ll be busy tomorrow.
