Good Night, Back To Planet Fitness and Kathy In An Accident.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I had a restless night, probably knowing the Alarm was set, which caused me to go between my Recliner and Bed several times. Kathy was doing well until 5:45 when she started saying we have to get ready. I simply told her it was way too early and to come to back to Bed. She did. The Alarm did its job, so while I served our Breakfast Juice and Medications, Kathy had already started making the Bed.

A quick check of the weather showed the temperature would be a constant throughout the day, but with the Northwest Winds gusting all day, it would barely feel more than 52 F (11 C). Kathy insisted on walking out to the Car but had second thoughts after getting inside the Car itself.

Not wanting the chore of making an actual breakfast, then having to clean up the Dishes, I made the decision to stop at Wendy’s, where we used a Coupon to have a filling breakfast at a reasonable prices. It felt strange that we were the only ones in the Diningroom while we ate, but the moment we were about to leave, people started arriving in droves.

Our daughter Karen had arranged with our daughter-in-law Melissa to have a Girls Day out and bring Kathy along to give her something different to see other than just me. When we walked in to Karen’s we found Nova outside with Karen, while we were greeted by our granddaughter Kylla’s new six week old Sphynx Cat Norman. Her last one last one Stanley recently passed suddenly at only Three Years Old from a Heart Attack. It wasn’t long before Kathy and Karen were off to meet Melissa.

I had a Plan of my own, one that I have made many times lately but just had too many other things to do. I went to Planet Fitness to exercise. Since I purchased my membership before they opened this location, it is a fraction of what the newcomers pay. It has only been since the problem with my Hip that I have not been here at least Three times a week. Using only the Resistance Machines, no Free Weights, I was cautious not to overload or overdo these exercises. I finished off with only Six Minutes on the Recumbent Cycle. When I stepped outside without my Denim Jacket, I scramble to fix that quite quickly.

Instead of going straight home, I stopped at the Dollarama to get a loaf of Bread and a few other things,

The exercise that I had just finished, helped me to quick step it from the Car into our building. The Wind seemed to have picked up.

I gathered Paperwork that I needed for referencing, before I cooked up a Toasted Egg and Cheese Sandwich for lunch. It is wise to never eat for at least Two Hours before exercising because you will have Stomach Cramps that you will regret. It is wise to eat within the next Hour following exercise, because your Metabolism is racing and will basically void any Calorie intake.

I then called the Canadian Census Bureau to finally get this mess finished. When I called on Monday, the young person on their end was not listening to what I was saying. Today, the agent sorted through the mess and will send another form for me to fill out.

The next call was to the Ontario Landlord Tenants Bureau. I had tried calling before but by the time I would finally reach an agent, they had closed for the day, and nobody answered my phone messages.

I was surprised how fast the day was going, so I fired up my Computer for the first time since checking the Weather this morning.

That was when Karen called. She normally calls when she is close to bringing Kathy home, but today was different. Having driven around the county, they were heading back to Tecumseh, when they were Rear-Ended by a Truck at a traffic light. Both vehicles were drivable and there were no Serious Injuries, but Kathy was in Pain. Karen did not know what Clinic we used so she figured it was better that I go with Kathy. She was pulling into our parking lot as she hung up. I nearly ran downstairs with my Cane and Keys but not my Jacket. Going back up to get my Jacket, I then brought the Car to the front entrance where Kathy was resting. And headed off to the nearby Walk-In Clinic.

It was a young Doctor but he was very thorough checking Kathy’s responses and where she was hurting in her Neck. He prescribed medication to ease the Nausea and filled a form for X-Rays. Unfortunately, all the local X-Ray Units had closed for the day at 4:00 unless we went to the Hospital. Strangely, the Local News mentioned that Ontario has the Highest Wait Times in the Country and Windsor/Essex has the Highest Wait Times in the Province, averaging 8.9 Hours. we’ll get them done in the morning. We did get the Medication even though it was not covered by our Insurance.

Since she was having stability issues, I convinced Kathy to wait in the Lobby while I parked the Car. She actually waited. Still feeling a bit wobbly we only had Soup for supper.

After the “6 o’clock Local New”, we also watched a couple episodes of “Mayday” before Kathy went to Bed.

I had barely written half the Blog, when Kathy came out of the Bedroom asking when her brother Danny left. She did not argue when I told her she was dreaming. I’ll be going to Bed, ASAP.
