A Step Back.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Just when I was starting to think that maybe Kathy’s dreams were starting to lessen in intensity, that all changed last night. Things looked more positive after our Heart to Heart talk at Arby’s on Thursday. As I mentioned last night, Kathy had gone to bed immediately after the last episode of “Law and Order, Special Victims” ended but I still had not posted the Blog. She had only been in Bed about Ten Minutes, when she came out, telling me it was time for Bed. Telling her I would be there soon, she went back in the Bedroom. Since my Computer Screen is so low, I tip my head just enough to bring on those unforgiving Neck Pains that I experience at night. Following the routine that realigns both my Neck and Shoulders, I had only been tipped back in my Recliner about Ten Minutes when Kathy returned. She was standing there shaking my foot, saying the Kids had left and it was time for me to go to Bed.

All of our CPAP Machines have timers on them that shows how long you are connected each night.

The rest of the night was spent in Bed, with no further outbursts from Kathy. I even slept a bit longer than I had expected this morning. When I walked into the Livingroom, I found that Kathy had gotten up through the night. My Recliner was totally elevated, the Controller was face up in the chair itself, which I avoid because it illuminates the entire room and the CPAP Hose was laying on the floor. Even on my back-and-forth nights, that is not the way I leave things in the Livingroom.

I managed to do most of my On-Line reading before I noticed the time. I start by opening the Bedroom Blinds, while serving breakfast at the table. I have also found that by turning on the Television just loud enough that the newscasters sound like someone is our Apartment, it wakes Kathy. At the same time, it may unintentionally support her dreams.

While we talked during breakfast, Kathy did not recall telling me to go to Bed or sitting in my Recliner during the night. Then quite straightforward she asked, “When Danny (her brother) and Richard (who me?) left”?

While we finished our Coffees at the Computers, I was busy getting our Medication Bag ready for this afternoon’s chore.

By the time I had switched to our Diningroom table into a workstation, it was time for lunch. The easiest, quickest and most satisfying was to share a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Antipesto Pizza. By cleaning up the dishes as soon as we were done eating, helped to clean my Hands better than washing them under the faucet. When your hands steam as much as the dishes, I think they are clean.

It did not take long to get the Medications and Vitamins, set up to fill Six Weeks worth of Doucettes. It does take longer doing Kathy’s because of Medications from her Cardiologist, Neurologist and her Rheumatologist. I make certain that I have enough of her Medications to safely do her Doucettes. Since it has only been recently that I have prescribed Medications of my own to take, I will be making calls on Tuesday to order Two that I ran short of today.

I finished logging them onto our Medication Spreadsheet, before packing away our Medication Bag by 4:30.

It was past 7:00 before we started feeling a little hungry, but instead of a big meal, we settled for a couple of Cookies instead.

With no movies of interest to watch, we settled on watching a few episodes of “Forensic Files” before calling it a night.

We will definitely be busier tomorrow.
