Girls Day and Two Near Misses.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It was another of those nights, where just knowing in the back of my mind that the Alarm was set, kept me moving between my Recliner and Bed. It is not often that I say it, “Thank Goodness the Alarm was set”.

We had just enough time to have our Breakfast Juice to wash down our morning Medications and Vitamins, before heading for the door. Unfortunately, just like yesterday our Denim Jackets were not warm enough at the moment, but that would later change.

We stopped at Wendy’s where we took advantage of their 2 for $4.00 Deal. Along with our Free Seniors Coffees and the Two Bacon/Egg Wraps, the total cost was only $4.20. We were well satisfied.

Twenty Minutes later we arrived at our daughter Karen’s house in Tecumseh. We had a little surprise when we found that she was taking care of Norman our granddaughter’s Spinx Cat, while repairs are being done to her apartment. He’s very young, and anyone he meets, he climbs up their clothes until he is sitting on their head. That did not work out too well on someone wearing shorts.

Minutes later Kathy, Karen and Norman were off in one direction, while I was off in another. After they dropped Norman off, they started another Girls Day of fun.

I headed back to Planet Fitness to get in a second round of exercise in as many weeks. It felt wonderful, but the only problem was that it was so crowded. Planet Fitness, has a policy that allows University, College and High School Students to use the facility Free during the summer, but there are still Middle-Aged Adults and Seniors there as well. Other than a few delays everything went well. Our Family Doctor had cautioned me on Tuesday about over-exerting myself. The moment that I felt anything like that, I stopped. The Pain was in my Right Shoulder, but by not overdoing it, I walked out feeling better with no discomfort.

As I was driving down the road to leave, another car pulled out directly in front of me with only Ten Feet between after I swerved to avoid a collision. He continued into the Left Turn Lane before stopping. As I am about to pass in the Right Lane, He again veers towards me. Both times my Brakes did not fail, nor did my horn. With only a foot between the cars, He pulled away and turned right, I followed. Unfortunate for Him, traffic was stopped and I blocked him in. I lowered the passenger window and showed him to do the same. In his hand was his Cell Phone. Like an angry parent, I yelled, ”You nearly hit me Twice because you’re not paying attention. Put that thing away”. In my younger days, he might have needed Medical Assistance. After He verbally apologized, I drove away.

After opening the Balcony Door to cool the Apartment, (Dammed Toronto) I headed downstairs to empty our Recycle Containers in the outside Bin.

In a Comment the other day, Katy mentioned Defragging my Computer. That is something I used to do all the time to all our Computers, but for some reason I could not recall doing it to this machine. I spent over Two Hours searching the operating programs until I found a message saying, “Defragmentation takes place Daily”. The search for an answer continues.

I had a Slice of Bread with Peanut Butter for lunch. Minutes later Kathy came in all Bubbly from spending time with the kids. Karen drove out to Kevin and Melissa’s house in Amherstburg for a visit, only to have Ken drop in as well. She got to visit with everyone today.

I also received the written version of our 2026 Canadian Census, so I was busy filling it in when Kathy walked through the door. What a lot of ways just asking the same question by just using different wording. Then they add a Comment Page and after my morning, I don’t think they will send it to us again in another Ten Years.

We waited until the “6 o’clock Local News” was over, before sharing a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza. The Weather Guesser said we reached 64 F (18 C) today but can also expect so much Rain by tomorrow night, that there could be localized Flooding. Good thing that we live on the Eighth Floor.

We later watched a couple episodes of “Law and Order, Special Victims” before calling it a night.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings our way.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment, unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion, or is Spam.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

What did the flowers do when the bride walked down the aisle?

They rose.
