Unsettling News, Severe Thunderstorm and “Independence Day Resurgence”.

Our Location today is at Wildwood Golf and RV Park, McGregor, Ontario.

With the continuing high Humidex that we had for the past Week it still took its toll on me while doing the Laundry yesterday so my night was restless. Kathy was still struggling with her Sinus Infection so her night was not that restful either.

We both had a very lite breakfast before settling in at the Computers. After making us a second cup of Coffee/Tea while I was in the process of making the bed when we received a call from Stephanie at Leisure Trailer. She was just keeping me up to date as to the communications she was having with the Manufacturer. If what she is saying is correct the Trailer might be headed back to the Factory again. We all felt quite disheartened by that news.
Kathy was still feeling stuffed up to the point she could barely breathe again this morning. While she relaxed I made some Split Pea with Ham Soup for lunch in hopes that it would loosen things up. I topped it off with Fruit for dessert.

Still feeling worn out I decided to stay in and have Kathy coach me while I cleaned, chopped and cooked the Rhubarb we had in the Fridge. We didn’t purchase it just to let it go to waste. In less then a Half Hour the finished Sauce was cooling on top of the Stove.
The Weather Network had forecasted another scorcher for today along with the Threat of Severe Thunderstorms. After the Clouds started covering the Sun we checked the Radar to have a better idea when the Storm would hit. I barely emptied our Rain Gauge from last night’s Rain and got back in the door when the Rain began. Like the Radar had shown there was a pause between Cells that gave me just enough time to grill a Store Bought Pizza for supper. It tasted great and we were both satisfied.
Notice at that moment we had the same Humidex
as Quartzsite's Temperature.
We take morning and evening Medications every day so after eating we took the last of this week’s pills. Since I make them up for Six and a Half Weeks at a time I simply had to exchange the empty Doucettes for the ones that were full. That was when I looked at Kathy’s evening pills. When we picked up the Antibiotics this past Thursday the Pharmacist on duty did not look at Kathy’s Chart or she should told Kathy to stop taking her Reflux Medication. The Reflux Medication doesn’t allow Antibiotics to work properly. Kathy had already taken that pill today but they have all been removed from next week’s Doucette so we should start seeing a change in Kathy’s condition on Monday.

We were getting tired of reading, working and playing on the Computers so we decided to watch the movie “Independence Day Resurgence”. This is not the original Independence Day that came out in 1996 this was Twenty Years Later. The Special Effects were believable. Let’s just hope a day like that never happens. It was definitely a Ten.
After the movie I went outside to cover the Weber and check our Rain Gauge. Just from the Storm this afternoon we collected an Inch of Rain. Our Plants are very happy. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

Experience is simply the name we give to our mistakes.

  1. I am sorry that you both are not feeling well. Pharmacists not looking over patients charts is something that unfortunately happens way too frequently from my personal experience.

  2. I hope you are both feeling better soon. The rain has not been forecasted for this area so missed Friday and Saturday's rainfall. Looking after plants today as we're not expecting rain until Thursday.
Sorry to hear about the trailer news - hopefully not.

  3. Oh my .... I sure hope you both feel better very soon. Nothing worse than feeling sickly. More rain? No wonder it's so green and beautiful in your neck of the woods!!
