Still No Sun, Getting Things Straightened, Cleaning Up and Quick Run.

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

When we got up this morning it felt almost as if it was warmer then when we went to bed. After getting everything ready for breakfast and opening the Window Shades I sat at my Computer to check things out. Last night the temperature was 41 F (5 C) with winds blowing above 25 MPH. This morning the Temperature was already 43 F (6 C) with no wind. Looking over the actual weather stats we’d had a Heavy Cloud Cover that helped to keep what little heat we received in place.
What our weather looked like all day.
After having our Second Cup while reading at the Computers we decided to check with the Pharmacy as to whether Kathy’s Family Doctor had authorized the Refills on her Medication. When I spoke to the assistant she said they had not received it yet but they would call me when they did.

Kathy called her Doctor’s Office and was told that her Medications had just been Authorized. She barely hung up the phone when the Pharmacy called saying things would be ready late Monday because some had to ordered in. I thought Two Weeks was enough of Lead Time but I guess I’ll have to try Three Weeks next fall.
For lunch Kathy made us Bacon and Eggs while she had me toasting Bread to go with them. Before I went outside I chopped a few more Vegetables that Kathy wanted to use up in the Slow Cooker.

We never saw the Sun at all today but with our time getting shorter I still have things to do outside before we leave. One of those things was to wash the Car and Truck. Between the Hot Weather, Doctors Appointments, Visits and other Projects it’s been hard to accomplish much this fall. Today’s high only reached 46 F (8 C) and the Forecast was for Rain so I put on Boots and a Raincoat.

Since we are the only ones left on our street I moved the Car next door and had it scrubbed down fairly quick. After switching vehicles I went inside for a quick drink of water only to see it starting to Rain outside. I did the only thing I could do, I started scrubbing down the Truck. The only thing the Rain did was make it easier to rinse off. Park Rules say no washing vehicles but when the Park Owner drove by he just shook his head and laughed.
Both vehicles looking shiny.
Kathy had been busy checking our accounts and making On-Line Payments until one account “Locked” her out. After I called they were able to Unlock it but just as the Tech was about to hang up, their entire system Locked Up. We’ll try again tomorrow.
For supper I toasted the last of our Bread that Kathy used to make Open Faced Pork Sandwiches. It all tasted so good and was more then satisfying.

Since it would take time for the Water Heater to get the Water hot we left the dishes and headed for Essex. It was still Cloudy but the Rain and Wind had stopped. Our destination was the Home Hardware Building Center to look for Exterior Paint. We had looked at other stores the other day but were unsuccessful. Kathy went down one Paint Aisle while I the other. We walked away with a quart of Acrylic Chocolate Brown Paint cheaper then the Outdoor Latex would have cost elsewhere.

With our being so close we though we would just stop by to say “Hello” maybe for the last time this year to our daughter-in-law Jen and our grandsons. When we saw the house in darkness we knew that we’ll just have to try again.

When we got Home we had plenty of Hot Water to do the dishes. When they were finished Kathy suggested watching a movie since it has been a while. Her first choice was Three Hours long so we settled for something half that length. We watched the family movie “Double, Double, Toil and Trouble” with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Cute Movie and perfect timing for this month.

With more Rain and no Sun for the next few days we’ll find things to do before leaving the Park on Thursday. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
