Bye Bye Bike and Birthday Celebration.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Even with the Air Conditioner running all night I still managed to sleep sound enough that I was awake and totally rested by 7:00 this morning. By 7:30 when Kathy got up I had gotten everything set up for breakfast plus I had sorted the laundry that needed to be done today.

By 8:45 I was downstairs loading up the washers and surprise-surprise nobody else was down there at the time. Between the wash loads and drying time I’d return to the apartment so that I could accomplish other little tasks. By 11:00 I had finished folding the clothes and was back upstairs helping to make lunch. 

Before 12:00 noon Kathy and I were on our way to the trailer to drop off the drawer and breadbox plus I needed to get a few more things that I needed to tighten the seat on the racing bike I was selling. I also removed the two original doors where I store our CPAP machines when we travel. They were very plain looking but practical and we wanted to get the same effect on them as I accomplished on the drawer and breadbox. I know that I have not posted any pictures of them yet but I will once they are all installed.

On the way home we stopped at the Zehr’s grocery store to gather a few food stocks that will help us make it to the end of the month. We were also surprised as we approached our apartment building that the Tecumseh Road construction has been completed and was once again open to through traffic.

I carried the groceries upstairs for Kathy so she could put them away while I fixed the bicycle seat then brought it out to the truck. It fit perfectly in one piece standing in the back seat. Many years ago before I met Kathy I used to cycle over a hundred miles in one day on that bike. Now Kathy and I ride the trails so it was time to say good bye to my past.

Kathy and I delivered the bike to a new Canadian from Denmark by the name of Lars who lives in Amherstburg. He was extremely happy with the condition of the bike and the fact that he could now do road trips with it.

After delivering the bike we went over to Kevin and Melissa’s to help celebrate Matthew’s 12^th birthday. He received some cute gifts as well as the more practical things that he really appreciated. Even though it was only snack foods and cake everyone’s diet went back to square one tonight.
