Overcast to Sunshine.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

When we went to bed last night we decided to leave the windows open even though the forecast was for showers through the early morning. By 7:15 when we got up there were signs of drizzle taking place but without any form of breeze it was basically just coming straight down. Enjoying our breakfast and watching the Weather Channel we felt secure enough to continue leaving the fresh air flow through the apartment.
Even with the light drizzle and overcast skies we listened to the sounds of springtime as the birds were singing their sweetest sounds. That helped to enhance our time at the computers where we caught up on everyone’s activities. By midmorning we progressed to our electronic bookkeeping where Kathy worked on our budget and I was entering maintenance and extra expenditures that we have made to the trailer.
For lunch it was a simple matter of finishing the macaroni salad that we had made yesterday. After we did the dishes Kathy once again went back to researching while I shredded the old expense files. Every year Kathy cleans out the old files that are no longer any use to us after they reach a certain age but by shredding them we don’t have to worry about identity theft.
Finally shortly before 3:00 this afternoon the sun made its first appearance of the day and causing the temperature to soar to 70 F (21 C). That was cause enough for us to fire up the Weber to grill a couple of Hamburgers to go with the Coleslaw and Egg Rolls Kathy made for supper. We topped it all off with peaches and frozen yogurt for dessert.
Grandson  Matthew (center) in gold tonight.
Our grandson Matthew’s soccer game was not until 8:30 this evening. Since there are limited teams to play in his division for a few weeks they’ll be having exhibition games against some of the senior division teams. It was fun watching the kids play their hearts out against these well-seasoned veterans of the game. This will also give these kids an experience they would otherwise never have such as playing under the lights at night.
This coming week is looking to be a very busy one. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. We have watched many of our granddaughter's soccer games. Now she's playing for her college team and we still watch as many as we can.

  2. I love to have the windows open during the rain - it sounds and smells so good. Mostly in The Palms, though, I end up having to shut things up so water doesn't come in.

  3. I don't have an screens on the house. Rich had intended to put new ones up the next time the house was painted. I thought about storm windows, but just haven't gotten to them. Everything that has to be done in the house is SO expensive. This post came at a timely day as our electricity (air) shut down yesterday for about an hour. Doesn't take long for the house to get too hot to breathe! I love the windows in my little trailer because they open out so they can remain open during rain. When I bought it I really didn't think about them and how nice they are. We had to close windows in the MH whenever it rained.
