Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
You just can’t beat sleeping with the windows open at night
unless it is well below freezing or way too hot to sleep comfortably. By 7:00 I
was once again well rested and opening curtains and blinds to increase the air
flow. Kathy was soon to follow again feeling well rested. Why were we up so
early? Who knows! Did we have to go anywhere early today? No! Why do we have
this attitude? Because we’re retired.
After having breakfast and completing our morning reading Kathy
returned to researching things we’ll be seeing on our return trip next year.
The reason she does that is so we won’t miss things we really want to see
because nobody knows for sure if they will get a chance to go back to that
particular place to see what you thought you’d like to see next time. Too much
happens in everyone’s lives and there is no certainty of what tomorrow brings.
I went back to work on the breadbox and drawer for the
trailer. When you purchase hardware for your projects everything comes with a
standard length of screws. This proved to be the first problem because for the
same drawer pull I needed longer screws for the drawer and shorter ones for the
breadbox door. Searching through my supplies I was able to find the shorter
screws but would have to buy the longer ones later. After mounting the magnetic
latch and drawer glides I needed to do some unplanned modifying on the breadbox
with a wood chisel in order to mount the hinges.
We did leave the apartment this afternoon stopping at the
Dollar Store, Walmart and finally the Home Depot checking a number of things
from our shopping list. Back at the apartment we enjoyed the Lasagna dinner
that Kathy bake yesterday with a wonderful salad that she made up today.
This evening we return to the Ford Test Track at 8:00 to
watch our Grandson Matthew’s soccer team play against the Windsor Police
Department’s Mixed Soccer Team under the stadium lights. Of course as you can imagine
there are more restrictions imposed against the senior teams as there playing
against the juniors. This allows these kids to play against a much higher skill
level of players than they normally do and gives them an experience they will
remember for the rest of their lives. The players were even allowed to sit behind the wheel of the squad car after the game was over for pictures.
Once I assemble the trailer projects tomorrow I’ll see what I
can do at the trailer. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a
comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
