Accomplishments and a Visit.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Again we managed to have a restful sleep with the windows open last night but by early this morning the humidity was starting to rise so it was time to turn the Air Conditioner on again. Even though the actual temperature would have been comfortable with the high humidity, high pollen count and an approaching afternoon rainstorm that would make it feel like 97 F (36 C) just weighed in on the decision.

With breakfast out of the way we were both busy on the computers when the phone rang at 9:00 to confirm an afternoon visit. At that point our attention shifted away from the office. Kathy went into high gear straightening up the place while I spent the next hour finishing the drawer and breadbox for the trailer and I even repaired the loose base on a lamp. Everything went together beautifully and Kathy was in awe over the finished products.

I was now able to pack away the tools and supplies back into the truck thus taking away the temporary mess that I had created in the corner of the living room while waiting for the stain to dry. When I returned from the truck I stopped to gather the mail before getting back upstairs. I found Kathy busy vacuuming the apartment in preparation for our visitors.

We finished off the last of the Lasagna that Kathy baked the other day for lunch. After washing up the dishes we finally got back to the computers to finish our morning reading. I even had a chance to take photos of a few more articles we want to sell on Kijiji and send a few E-mails out soon after.

Seconds before 2:00 the phone rang announcing the arrival of my aunt Anna and cousin Jackie. I had spent the entire summer at her home when I was only ten. At that time my mother was in the hospital and not expected to ever come home. What the doctors didn’t count on back then was her will to live. Even though both my parents passed away over twenty years ago I still hold a special place in my heart for my aunt and uncle. We visited for a couple of hours getting caught up on all kinds of things. The rain did fall in the form of a light drizzle while we were visiting but had stopped before they left.

I managed to put a few more things in the truck so that I can bring them to the trailer in the morning. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
