Time With The Grands.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Let’s start this blog a little different. First and foremost here is wishing all the Dads out there a Happy Father’s Day. Knowing that it was Father’s Day didn’t stop me from being awake before 7:00 this morning. It should be a rule that our bodies acknowledge the fact that we should be allowed to sleep in a little on those special kinds of occasions.

Sharing the last of the Strawberries on our cereal this morning Kathy and I were pleased with the weather forecast for today. Since our biggest plan was for this afternoon that meant that I could accomplish a few things throughout the rest of the day.

First thing was to put away the laundry that I didn’t finish folding downstairs until after 11:00 last night.

Next since the humidity level will be rising starting tonight we will be turning the Air Conditioner on tonight so that Kathy won’t have problems with her breathing. With all the pollen that has been floating in the air I noticed the buildup on the outside of the AC while grilling the other night. While at the trailer the other day I brought home the Shop Vac so I used it to clean the pollen on the outside of the AC this morning.

After cleaning up those tools I spread newspaper on our outdoor Bistro table and started applying a coat of Gunstock Stain to the Breadbox that I made for the trailer. We had planned on coating only the unfinished wood with it but by testing it on the rear of a darkened panel we changed our minds and did the whole thing. It will still have plenty of accent but blend in nicer with the interior finish of the trailer.

I needed to let it dry for a while before I could rotate it so I decided to call our son’s Gary and Kevin to wish them a Happy Father’s Day. Both of them were taking care of their sons while both Moms were busy doing other chores. I also took the time to call my uncle Bob in London to wish him the same. He was very inspirational in the direction my life took at a very young age even though my own father thought that I should be taking a different course in life. It just happened that it was now time for us to have lunch but as soon as the dishes were washed I finished staining the breadbox.

Kathy had gone back to the computer still doing research on our return trip from Florida for next year mostly to pass the time but making progress as well. We were expecting to go out for supper with our daughter Karen and the grandkids but instead at 3:30 the phone rang and it was not good news. She was on her way to the hospital emergency with our granddaughter Kylla who severely injured her ankle while out skateboarding with her brother and sister. She apologized saying we’d get together later this week.

After she hung up Kathy announced that we were still going to the Michigan Roadhouse for supper. I asked where was our grandson Tyler and why didn’t we just take him out for supper. One quick phone call from Kathy and we were on our way to pick him up.

We had an enjoyable meal and got to hear firsthand from Tyler how Kylla tried to do a stunt on her board that caused her injury. He and sister Ashley sat Kylla on her longboard and pushed her nearly a mile back to where Karen’s car could pick her up. It was a great visit and we still had a great visit with Tyler.

Back at the apartment a gentleman came over and purchased Kathy’s Schwinn E-bike and we heard that Kylla tore the Ligaments in her right ankle. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

How is being at a singles bar different from going to the circus?

At the circus the clowns don't talk.
