Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
The weather forecast for last night was bang on. That is what it sounded like most of the
night as the Thunder storm sounded like it was trying to put on a concert for
us. A few of the thunder claps were loud enough to wake me from a sound sleep
which is quite unusual. Kathy only remembered when the storm first started and
then managed to stay asleep until morning.
Watching the Weather Channel as we ate breakfast they gave
us a picture of doom and gloom for our area today. Looking out the balcony
doors at the heavy rainfall had us wondering if we shouldn’t have started
building an ark but by 11:00 the sun was trying to break through the clouds.
Kathy spent the morning trying to organize the files on her
computer. Even though she worked in the business world for thirty years the
company she worked at didn’t start using computers until months before she
retired. Now I’m the one trying to teach her how to create folders, minimize
her files by labeling her tabs.
I printed a recent picture of our son Ken that I edited from
a recent snapshot so that we can put it in our photo frame. I then had sizing issues
to resolve before I was able to print the calendar that I made for Kathy.
We finally got the phone call that I’ve been waiting for
from Henry’s Camera shop that our Sigma lens for our DSLR has come back from
repair. With almost everything produced today being controlled by electronics today
somehow the autofocus on the lens would no longer work properly.
Being this was Wednesday and we were heading to Amherstburg
for our weekly visit with our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa we simply stopped
at Henry’s to pick up the camera lens before going on. As we were pulling into
their parking lot the skies opened up again for our second round of rain today.
When we finally arrived at Kevin and Melissa’s Kathy spent
time visiting with Melissa while Kevin and I went out to the garage. I needed
to remeasure the pieces I had cut for the drawer that I’m making for the
trailer. Somehow I had lost the opening measurement and had to stop at the
trailer to confirm the sizing. The rest of our visit was very pleasurable and filled
with laughter. By the time we headed for home the skies had once again cleared.

We have had rain for 6 days straight. Great for the garden but enough is enough. Hope you have and we have sunny skies very soon!
