Our Location today is Moore Haven, Florida.
Being as tired as I was last night, I figured I’d sleep for
sure just like Monday night, right? I didn’t take the chance and took a Tylenol
to be certain that I’d sleep. I only woke for a few minutes around 4:00 and turned
over to wake up refreshed around 8:00. I needed that!
Kathy wanted English Muffins for breakfast which was quite
the change and the Weather Channel showed that we were to expect another warm
sunny Florida day. By 9:30 armed with our shopping list we were on our way to
Clewiston to see if we could return and replace the wireless printer we had
bought the other day. The only thing
wrong with it was that it would not fit in the spot it would have to travel in
the trailer when we are on the road.
A half hour later we were pulling into the parking lot of
the Walmart in Clewiston. We started by looking for the things we had never
searched for before and got lucky on a few. Now it was time to start reading
the fine print on all the printer boxes to see which one would fit in the
travelling spot under our bed until we found the perfect unit. When we had
looked the other day we didn’t have that dimension with us because it was a
spur of the moment decision. We also picked up groceries for a dinner get
together we planned.
Our next stop was Ace Hardware with no luck followed by a
stop at True Value Hardware where I managed to get the Plastic Electrical
Junction Box that will be mounted on the roof of the trailer to house our Solar
connection block. Kathy just wasn’t having the same luck. We stopped at TSC and
all the dollar stores in the area with no luck before stopping at McDonald’s
for lunch.
Back at the trailer after unloading the truck the first
thing I did was to make certain the printer would fit in its travel spot. The next
thing I did was to try to get it working. I even reloaded the operating program
three more times to make it work with no luck. I won’t tell you what I was
thinking of doing with this new wireless printer.
Kathy had been busy cooking while I had been working on the
printer so by that time we both needed a rest. We sat outside in the cool shade
enjoying watching nature and life that was passing by all around us. We then
got things readied outside for the guests we were expecting for supper.
At 5:00 Elaine and Rick arrived bringing dessert of
Chocolate Pie. I fired up the Weber Q and after taking orders of cooking
preference started grilling some nice Sirloin steaks. Kathy had precooked some
baked potatoes with onion and wrapped them in foil. After the steaks were on
for a while I added the potatoes on the grill to reheat them and it all came
out perfect. Everything was going so well I forgot to take pictures of the
food. We had a chance to visit more after dinner until they needed to go take
care of Lilly and Tucker with a promise to return for the campfire.
Everyone also had to change into long pants and jackets not
because it was getting chilly but because we were being attacked by bugs. It
didn’t take long to get the fire going and once Elaine and Rick got back we
spent more time talking about past travels and things we’ve learned from
experience. Before long the tranquility of the fire was starting to say it was
time to call it a night with the hope of doing this again before we leave.
Tomorrow we have no plans so we’ll just see what busyness we
can get ourselves into. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a
comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
