Packing up Day

Our Location today is Crystal River, Florida.

We didn’t need the furnace last night and I was comfortable when 6:00 this morning rolled around my back told me it was time to stop staring at the ceiling. I had finished my morning reading on the computer before Kathy woke up. The fresh air that we’ve been getting lately has really helped her to sleep. Then why can’t I?
The gentle giants of the sea a Manatee.
It was only in the upper 40’s first thing this morning as soon as breakfast was done and I’d made the bed I closed up the printer and a few other things in the office to be ready for tomorrow’s traveling day. By 10:00 I was outside starting to dismantle our little home away from home.
Steam rising off warm water from hot springs where Manatee gather.
I started taking down our bumper mounted clothes line. I then climbed to the roof where it took me nearly ten minutes just to sweep all the debris from the roof and slide toppers. Back on the ground I rehung our step ladder and bicycle carriers on the rear of the trailer.
Manatee are very curious about humans.
Kathy had come out earlier as she was trying to clean the windows that we hadn’t done since our arrival. About that time our friend Val from Grand Bend, Ontario stopped by to chat for a bit as to where our next stop will be. She only stayed a short while talking to Kathy while I continued mounting the bicycles for travel.

Kathy went inside to make lunch and by the time she called me I had already removed the lights from the Gazebo and lowered it down so it would dry. I only stopped for about twenty minutes but by the time I went back outside the temperature had climbed to 81 F (27 C) which was hot enough to have to change into cooler clothes.
Bit by bit things were being taken down and stored in the basement. The only problem with that is that some of the things now being stored in the basement rode inside the trailer on the way down here. We also have things in the trailer that we normally keep in the trunk of the car for family functions and sports games. When we get home things will have to be put back where they belong in order to unclutter the basement.
With everything put away our site really looks empty.
It was 5:00 by the time I finished closing up outside and Kathy had been busy doing similar inside and with the warm air we decided to eat out. Not knowing what we wanted to eat we drove into the parking lot at Cody’s Roadhouse but couldn’t find a parking spot and Kathy didn’t want me to park on the grass like some cars had done. We next drove down to Charlie’s a seafood restaurant we’d heard about but hadn’t tried but like Cody’s you couldn’t get in the parking lot.
Finally we stopped at Crackers and the only reason we got a parking spot was we were pulling in when someone else was leaving. We only had a ten minute wait once inside but as soon as we were seated the waiting line grew to the front door. We decided on having fish and chips and while we ate it dawned on us that today is Saturday and that is why all the restaurants are so busy.

Were in no rush to leave early tomorrow and we have a few people we need to visit before we hit the road. After that where we spend the night is anyone’s guess. We are thinking of dry docking at Flying J or Walmart. We will keep everyone posted as our original plans and itinerary have a glitch in them for a few days. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
