Filling Up.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Though it was an up and down night, we both managed to be up by 8:15 this morning. It was still below the Freezing Mark, but the Sun was shining bright enough to lift our spirits. We settled for Toast with Peanut Butter for breakfast, with Coffee at our Computers.

I made a few trips to the kitchen to see what we needed to put on our Grocery List. We were both ready to go by noon but were delayed waiting for our Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Vegetarian Pizza to share for lunch. More room in the Freezer.

By that time we could go out the door wearing Jackets only and not have to bundle up for a winter temperatures. That would have been perfect, if we had not gone out the Rear Exit. The building to our east and the one we live in, create a Vortex effect for the Wind. We were froze before we reached the parking lot but were feeling warm again before reaching the Car.

With Road Construction already taking place on Lauzon Road, the detour brought us out close to the nearest Dollarama to our building. We managed to scratch a few things from our List but not all. Since they are independently owned, they don’t always carry the same stock, all the time.

Our next stop was another Dollarama to get what was not available at the other location, before heading over to the Bulk Barn, where our Coupon took $5.00 off our purchase.

Since our Pantry, Fridge and Freezer were quite low, we spent nearly an Hour at the Zehr’s grocery store getting Produce, Meats and Frozen Foods. At this time of year, you would typically need to wear a jacket inside the store. Not Today! We were walking around in short sleeved shirts and feeling warm. Though we watched for Sales, we still walked out with a lighter Bank Account.

It was nearly 5:30 once we had the Car loaded and knew that we’d be busy when we got home, so we stopped at Wendy’s for our supper. Even though there were no Coupons to take advantage of, since we are there so often, the Manager cued in the Employees Discount for us.

Back at our building, I had to park the Car right by the Rear Entrance with its Four Way Flashers on. The reason for that was because it would take Two Heavy Loads in our Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart, to get everything up to our Apartment.

After parking the Car in its designated spot, it did not take long for me to get upstairs. Though I turned on the 6 o’clock Local News as soon as I walked in, it was half finished. I listened while putting things away.

With everything put away we needed to sit, so we watched “Will Trent”, “The Rookie” and the “Gene Hackman Story”. As I was about to turn it off the 11 o’clock Local News came on and Kathy said we should watch it. Everything we had missed earlier was there for us to see.

Tomorrow is supposed to be another nice day, before the temperatures make another Plunge.
