This is turning into a guessing game, not really knowing where or how well I will sleep. Last night I went from my Recliner to Bed, then returned only Two Hours later. The reason I saw fit to move was not because I could not sleep, but the discomfort I was feeling throughout my body in both positions. I never took my CPAP Mask the entire night. Putting it on at the start of the night, walking between locations with it on and only taking it off this morning, to get an early start my day.
We kept it simple with a Carrot Muffin and a Yogurt Cup for breakfast. Coffee at our Computers helped to warm us from the 23 F (-5 C) outside temperature and the 35 MPH Southwest Wind Gusts.
Today I managed to serve the Chicken Noodle Soup I had intended to have yesterday.
After getting Shaved it wasn’t long before we headed out the door. Even though I suggested that Kathy wait for me by the rear exit, she walked with me to the Car. She doesn’t handle the Cold or Heat the way that I do and we both felt Frozen until we got inside the Car.
It took nearly an Hour to get to our destination, mainly due to the fact that it was Rush-Hour and the roads were packed.
We
were at the Branch
594 Legion
for two reasons tonight. The first, was to enjoy their Fish
Friday
meals. We
enjoyed the Lake
Perch
with Sweet
Potato Fries,
less
Breading
and Grease.
Secondly
but the
most
important, we were there to listen to our daughter-in-law Melissa
sing along with Glen her Guitarist.
They play every month or two here
along with other venues.
Melissa sang at our daughter Karen and son-in-law Greg’s Wedding
as well as our own Wedding.
Did you know that for years, our kids referred to us as “The
Newlyweds”?
There were also longtime Friends, Coworkers and lots of Family members that also attended. They played from 4:30 to 7:30. The minute they started closing up after their set, the place started emptying out. After lots of hugs we headed for home.
It was past 9:00 when I dropped Kathy at the front door so she wouldn’t freeze again. I also played it smart and walked back to the front door, so I wouldn’t freeze going through the Wind Vortex between the buildings.
We managed to watch a couple episodes of “Monk”. We’d never seen it before and thought it was great. We then watched the 11 o’clock Local News, since we weren’t here earlier. The weather forecast appears that we are slipping back towards Winter, rather than continuing with Spring.
