Still Sleeping, Smoky and Sauteing.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

On Wednesday night I only moved from my Recliner to Bed once and felt wonderful when getting up in the morning. It was a different story on Thursday night, by going back and forth a number of times before morning.

Kathy seems to be sleeping better when she feels my presence at night and is quick to wake up when I leave in the morning. I had barely opened the Balcony Blind when I heard noise coming from the Bedroom. Trying to change things up, we had Cereal for breakfast.

With our Coffees at the Computers, besides all the morning reading, I also had a chance to check our Bank Accounts so there was no chance someone Hacking our Savings.

Instead of wasting money replacing food that we already had going bad, we enjoyed Hotdog Wraps for lunch with tea Biscuit Cookies and a Nectarine for dessert.

The temperature was not as Hot today as it has been over the last week, so Kathy walked out to the Car. With the Wildfire Smoke still strong, she was feeling winded by the time we got there.

With a higher chance of Thunderstorms showing up tomorrow, we thought that getting a couple of errands done today would solve the problem. Our first stop was Guardian Storage to collect our Mail, but we could have saved ourselves the trip.

We headed over to the Zehr’s grocery store to get a few things on our List but also some walking exercise in a nicely Air-Conditioned store. With it feeling so comfortable inside we started looking at few things that were “On Sale”. A single Salmon Fillet that would feed the both of us, we got Two. I was going to pick up some Lean Ground Beef. Kathy spotted a package that was half the price of the Club Pack but less then a quarter the size, Ziplock Bags are not that expensive and easy to label with a Permanent Marker. Thankfully, I had brought the Large Freezer Shopping Bags in to pack our purchases. The cost was more than I thought we would be spending, but it will be saving us on future meals.

On the way back to our building, I was surprised when Kathy suggested being dropped off at the front entrance because of the Smoke. I simply used our Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart to bring our purchases upstairs.

It was a slight struggle fitting things in the Freezer, but once that was accomplished, I took a short break. Ten Minutes later I defrosted another batch of the Frozen Vegetables we had bought some time back, by using Water. By the time I gathered the rest of the ingredients, I started warming them in the Wok while continuing to slice up and adding the rest. I was able to sit for another Ten Minutes in my Recliner, because I had a direct line of vision to the stove. We will not be buying those Frozen Veggies again.

We were just sitting down to enjoy our Bacon/Veggie Wraps when the “6 o’clock Local News” started. There were a few interesting things happening in our area, including a forecast that we will all enjoy.

We later watched a few episodes of “Law and Order, Special Victims Unit”. Like many of other longtime series, on Thursday evenings, you watch the latest season. On Fridays we watch a mini-marathon of episodes starting from day one in 1999. Though fictional, we learn a lot from these programs.

I have a few chores to deal with tomorrow, before taking care of some research, right around the time of the forecasted Thunderstorms. We’ll try getting out for a while.

Krackers

I just watched a program about beavers.

It was the best dam program I’ve ever seen.
