Another Messy Night. Another Scorcher

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

After getting One good night’s sleep, I was certain things were taking a positive turn in life. What I did not plan on was that, it only happened because of the extreme fatigue that I was going through. Last night I was back to staring at the ceiling and repeatedly going back and forth between my Recliner and Bed. By using the timers on my old and new CPAP Machines, I know that I totalled 3 Hours and 49 Minutes in Bed along with 3 Hours and 41 Minutes in my Chair. The problem was, I may have slept for only 2 of those Hours.

Though the Alarm had been set, my inability to sleep made certain I was up before needing to be. Breakfast today was an improvement, having Cereal topped with Banana Slices.

Checking The Weather Network the cooler temperatures that had been forecasted were reversed and we could now expect the same scorching numbers that we had for the last couple of days. That meant this was the perfect time to follow through with yesterday’s chore that had to be sidelined. Even with the Air Conditioning keeping our inside temperatures within a reasonable range, a personal problem that I’ll review with our Family Doctor was slowing me down. Waiting for the problem to go away, may never happen, so as the old saying goes “We’ll work with what we have”.

With the chore today being the Laundry, what we did do differently, was to share a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Chicken Pizza for an early lunch, instead of between loads. From there, Kathy accompanied me down to the Second Floor Laundry Room and watched as I got three available Washers going, so if others would come in, everyone could share.

Also, like I have done many times in the past, I called the Laundry Equipment Supplier to come repair an Out-of-Order unit that nobody bothered to report. To date, I have called in Nine Repair Calls that nobody else has.

By the time we got back to our Apartment, Kathy looked like someone had dumped a bucket of water on her head. Having welded around Molten Metal for Thirty-Six Years, I was totally dry. Kathy stayed behind when I went back downstairs, doing Dusting, Vacuuming and Dishes, before coming back downstairs to see how I was doing. I had just finished folding the last Bedsheet when she walked in.

As soon as everything was put away we headed out. I told Kathy to stay inside the rear entrance and wait for me. She walked Ten Feet outside, before going back in to wait. The temperature was again like yesterday 99 F (37 C) feeling like 113 F (45 C). It seems that when it is cold, we want the warmth. When it is hot we want the cooler air. Why can’t we just settle for Comfortable.

I wasn’t in the mood to cook, so using a Coupon, we went to Wendy’s for supper. I met another Senior, that did not know she could change things when ordering. Still using my Cane for balance, another Senior that had been listening in, offered to carry my tray. Having worked in Metal Fabrication most of my Welding Years, I have never dropped a tray that I carry with One Hand.

Heading back towards home, we stopped at Shoppers Drug Mart to take advantage of Thursdays Seniors Discounts. I picked up more ZzzQuil sleep aide as well as some things Kathy needed. It is always nice when we saved Thirty Dollars like that and walk out with another Ten Dollar Coupon for purchases in the next Three Weeks.

Back home, the Bed was made, our clothes put away and we got ready to watch some television. The first two were narrated by Tom Hanks about “Dinosaurs” and tonight “The Animals of the United States”. We also watched “Law and Order, Special Victims Unit”.

I’ve got calls to make, before we run a few early errands.
