Jumped Out Of My Skin.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Just when my sleep habit was finally headed in the right direction, it was a total turn around last night. After only a brief time in my Recliner, I was off to Bed where I had hoped to spend the rest of the night. Similar to Saturday Night, the Pain in my Neck and Shoulders drove me back to the Recliner. On Saturday, just under Half the night was spent in the chair. Last night, over Three Quarters of the night was spent in the Livingroom.

Due to my occupation and the noise in the environment, I needed to wear Ear Plugs under my Welding Shield to protect my hearing. By doing it so often, my ears needed to replace the earwax that the Plugs removed. Since retiring, the wax overbuilds so much that it occasionally blocks my hearing. Struggling to clear the blockage will take days so thinking that I would get things ready for breakfast this morning, I nearly jumped out of my skin, when I turned round to see Kathy only inches from me, something that does not happen when I can hear properly.

After our breakfast snack we took our Coffees to the Computers. There were only about Ten Blogs that were published overnight, so I set about looking. In the US your Income Tax Returns need to be filed by April 15th, but in Canada it is April 30th. Kathy used to have all the paperwork organized so we could simply bring our returns to our Accountant by the middle of March. With the Dementia changing the way she thinks, all that organizing has gone out the window. I spent the remainder of the morning finding the required paperwork, on the Desk, on the Table, on the End Table next to Kathy’s chair. I used a clear resealable cover to put it all together.

After having Italian Wedding Soup for lunch, we were soon headed out the door. At 64 F (18 C) Kathy wore her Denim Jacket, while I wore my T-Shirt. Our first stop was Guardian Storage, to collect the Mail we had forgot about last weekend. The Mailbox was full and there was a Package that I had forgotten about. I hope that I’m not losing it.

Besides the needed Tax Papers, this morning I found a Government Cheque that was postmarked March. I’ll be taking care of the Mail from now on. A quick stop at the Credit Union and the Cheque was added to our accounts.

Our next stop was our Accountant’s Office. One of his appointments had cancelled so he was able to take us immediately. An hour later, we were walking out the door. The only thing that will keep us away next year is his rising cost. Has anyone personally tried Turbo Tax? I have heard both good and bad things about it.

We drove over to Wendy’s to have Chicken Nuggets for supper, before heading for home.

Even with the outside temperature only reaching 68 F (20 C), we still had to open the Balcony Door when we walked into our Apartment.

On the “6 o’clock Local Newsit seems that Windsor was struck by more violence. Why can’t people just get along.

Around 8:00 Kathy had an Apple for a snack, while I had an Orange. We only watched a couple episodes of “Forensic Files” before relaxing.

With overnight/early morning Rain in the forecast, we are still hoping to get out for an afternoon walk tomorrow.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment, unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion, or is Spam.

Be Safe and Enjoy!
