After sitting in my Recliner for only a short time last night, I headed off to Bed. I was totally shocked when I woke up over Eight Hours after the time I joined Kathy. Sensing my absence she joined me moments after I opened the Balcony Blinds. The sound of Thunder had been heard throughout the night and evidence of Rain still covered the parking lot.
After
having Cookies and Yogurt Cups for breakfast, we took
our Coffees over to our Computers. We were surprised
when The Weather Network showed
it was already 68 F (20 C) even as the Sun
stayed behind the Clouds. Checking my E-Mail for the
Amazon delivery, I found a
picture of the Cognitive Medications that I ordered on Sunday,
jammed into the Chain Link Fence protecting the Storage
Yard, not even close to the Office.
I had a chuckle reading Our RV Travels, when Greg used one of my Comments left to him as part of his Blog. It compares what we used to do, to what we now do. I always try to make a joke when doing so, but some did not think so and we received Threats. No Sense of Humour.
It was not long before we received a call from the Hospital telling me I had a CAT Scan scheduled for next month. Apparently, it was made by my Respirologist, last August. I am still waiting to get an appointment for an MRI for my Neck that was requested Sixteen Months ago. Our Canadian Health Care System used to be the envy of the world, now it is “Hurry up and Wait”.
After lunch, it got so Hot in the Apartment we opened the Balcony Door and Bedroom Window to cool the 81 F (27 C) feeling like 88 F (31 C) temperature. The 21 MPH gusting to 31 MPH Westerly Winds did little to cool things down.
Our daughter Karen called, while on her way home from work. The windows in the building she works do not open, and they still have the Heat turned on according to the law.
The “6 o’clock Local News” was over before we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pizza for supper. Not wanting to be snacking later, I had added extra Mushrooms and Mozzarella Cheese. It looks like we will have above normal temperatures for the next Five Days, before our highs will barely get above the Freezing Mark.
We later watched few episodes of “Forensic Files”. We had to shut the Balcony Door and Bedroom Window when the Thunder got a bit too loud and the Rain started coming down.
The errands we did not complete today, will definitely get finished to tomorrow.
