Open Door With Century Heat.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

Even though it was 64 F (18 C) throughout the night it was a little uncomfortable. We could only have our Bedroom Window open by a finger’s width because of the Overnight Thunderstorms heading our way. It just another thing that kept us from having a decent night’s sleep. Kathy got an extra Hour sleep.

Breakfast was Toast with our Coffees at the Computers. That’s where we learned how hot it actually was going to feel like today, 109 F (43 C). This is the first of a Seven Day Heat Wave, with Humidex readings well above the Century Mark.

The only thing we could think of to satisfy our appetites was Split Pea with Ham Soup.

We were having 22 MPH Wind Gusts that were keeping us cool so we just left the Door and Window open.

While Kathy worked on her Computer, I was chopping a Fresh Pineapple that will be used for desserts and extra toppings on our Pizzas.

After a brief rest I started chopping Vegetables to make the Stir-Fry that I didn’t do yesterday. When it was time I also chopped up some Bacon to add to our Wraps. It tasted so good and it makes us feel even better, plus there’s enough for more Wraps.

We watched the movie “White House Down” tonight. It kept us on the edge of our seats.

We’ll be turning on the Air Conditioner before going to bed.

  1. I remember hot summers years ago and there was not that much fuss about it. Nowadays everything is blown up.
