Hot Errands and Using The AC.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Like I mentioned in yesterday’s Blog, there is no way to guarantee that we can sleep properly until after my Hip/Leg Issue is dealt with. Once that is fixed, then I can have the Hernia Issue taken care of. That means we might not be travelling much until next year.

There were no Clouds in the sky when we looked out around 8:20, but after taking our Coffees to the Computers we watched as they slowly hid the Sun.

My Plans to work on the Truck this morning were sidelined with the need for Pain relief that extended into the afternoon.

It was nearing 4:00 when I remembered there were Vitamins needed for this weekend so we headed out the door into a 99 F (37 C) Humidex. Though we have survived without the AC in the Apartment, there was no way Kathy could go without it in the Car. We were just starting to feel the cool air when we arrived at Shoppers Drug Mart. Being that this was Thursday, made us eligible for the Twenty Percent Seniors Discount, which amounted to over Forty Dollars.

Kathy didn’t want to leave the comfort of the air conditioned store, so I bribed her with having supper out. We headed to Arby’s where we enjoyed their Reuben Sandwiches and Strawberry Milkshakes. That cooled us down and gave us enough energy to head back outside.

We went to The Home Depot to get fasteners to hang our Special Wedding Picture. Though they have Handicap Parking, you still have check out your purchases at the other end of the store, before walking outside to get back to your Car.

I dropped Kathy off at the front entrance of our building, so she would not be in the heat so long.

Home on time to watch the 6 o’clock Local News, we were shown that we could be entering our first Heat Wave of the year, with Four Consecutive Days feeling above the Century Mark in the next seven. We were also supposed to have Rain today. Looking out our Balcony Door we could see it falling on the western part of Windsor, while we stayed dry.

I’ll have to get an earlier start on the Truck tomorrow.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment, unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion, or is Spam.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Rick, use that AC...way too many people die from accidental heat stroke; it doesn't' have to be in the high 90's to get really heat sick.
