After reading the comments in yesterday’s about having done the best I could about warning the parents about the Hidden Desert Dangers I was able to go to bed knowing that I tried. It was after 10:00 when we went to bed and there was still some screaming going on outside.
I was awake by 6:30 this morning and even though there were few people On-Line it seemed like my Computer took forever to connect to most programs other then our Blog. It wasn’t until after Kathy came downstairs that we started seeing any kind of movement around the Fulltiming Families group.
Last winter after having our Hair butchered at a hairstylist in Blythe we found a Mother Hairstylist and Son Barber team in Parker that did a great job of fixing the mess. I tried calling to make appointments today but found out that they are not open on Mondays or the Weekends so we’ll try again tomorrow.
After completing our reading on the Computers and morning chores we started getting an early lunch ready. Kathy made a Tossed Salad to go with a bowl of her Homemade Chicken Vegetable Soup we made yesterday and some Jell-O for dessert. We still walked away from the table feeling full.
A fraction of the line of RVs heading for the Dumping Station.
We took our time cleaning up the Dishes and Kitchen before heading out around 1:00. We drove in the direction of the Fresh Water Stations just so we could see how large the FF group actually was. With close to Fifty RVs they have quite a get together going on.
Talk about not securing your RV. Solar Panels, Weather Station
and Wind Generator all left up on the roof.
We had trash to drop off that we carried in the back of the truck all the way to Yuma and back because the Bins were overly full at the time. With most of the Bins now being nearly empty it wasn’t hard. This also gave us a closer look at the long line of RVers in line at the Dump Station. When travelling down the road everything has to be secured but lots of times we see RVs here with their Solar Panels still in a raised position. Today we saw the Extreme at not planning on going too far down the road. This RV had his Solar Panels raised, his Weather Station and Wind Generator still mounted on his roof. It resembled a Cartoon Toy seeing it like that. At least with today’s moderate breeze his Batteries were been well charged.
All kinds of Sales Gimmicks inside the Big Tent.
Best job in the house.
Our destination today was the Big Tent but rather then having to park in the Washes like in the past I dropped Kathy off near the Vendors Area on Tyson Wells Road where she walked on flat ground and waited for me by the Tent. I had quite a walk having to park near the most northerly parking area.
We walked around inside the Tent doing the Two Outer Aisles in a single sweep but the Wide Main Aisles we did in both directions. By waiting to go today the Crowds were not as bad as opening day. There were a few things that I was hoping to find but none of the Vendors carried them. After checking out the Vendors outside of the Tent it was after 3:30 when we headed back through the main Vendors Area.
All that walking worked up our appetites but we wanted something different. We drove over to Dorothy and Toto’s Ice Cream Shop on Main Street. Being that we can’t rely on our Freezer keeping a treat like this frozen we each had our favourite flavour. There were a lot of people there with the same idea. With their generous helpings we didn’t need any supper when we got Home.
With everything that has been going on this year I haven’t mentioned that this coming Saturday January 26th between 1:00 and 4:00 pm will be the 5th Annual Bloggerfest. If you are in the Quartzsite area and want to see the faces behind the Blogs stop in and visit. You can be a Blogger, a Blog Follower or just someone wondering what is happening at the Ramada (Pavilion) at La Posa South LTVA. Hoping to see you there. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  3. Sorry we will miss Bloggerfest this year too but with any luck we'll be in the area Sunday or Monday. Thursday will tell. Wow..it's definitely crowded at the tent but how fun just to look around.

  4. We never did make it to Q when we were fulltiming. I guess we never will as I have gotten so used to not being around crowds that such events stress me out now. Age? Maybe.

To each there is a season.... so keep on enjoying yours. Don't spend too much at those tempting vendors.

  5. Speaking of Bloggerfest, do you have a table you can bring to the Ramada? I can bring mine, but it is currently my computer station in the motor home. If I get back up to the storage unit I may be able to find my other one. I also need to make new signs as the original ones are falling apart due to my not being careful enough while storing them. I'm hoping Sandie will help me...

  6. Hello! We're also at LPS. This year seems the worst so far with the internet. We have to drive down to King Rd each day. Library was a bust too. Next year my husband will just take the week off. We won't make the Blogger Fest but I'm sure it will be fun.
