Free Airbags, Good Checkup, Getting What We Need and Tasty Meals.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Once again I managed to shut the alarm clock off before it went off this morning. Kathy may not be back to one hundred percent but within minutes of my leaving the bedroom she told me she had something else planned for breakfast. When we’d picked up our groceries at Walmart last night she had chosen to bring home some Cinnamon Rolls as a treat. They are her all-time favourite pastry but she was more than willing to share them with me for breakfast. We didn’t have time to sit around contemplating what we wanted to do with our day because we’d already written it out on a list before going to bed last night.

We had our morning chores finished and were driving out the front gate by 9:00 heading for Windsor. Our first stop was Vehicle Venture to pick up our new Airbags for the truck. Andrew was all smiles when he presented them to us saying they were covered under a Lifetime Warranty and gave us back our deposit we’d made when we ordered them. He was however very surprised that the stems he had told me were removable were in fact crimped in at the factory so the other air-fittings we picked up at Bogar’s the other day can be returned.

Our next stop was at the Shoppers Drug Mart at Howard Avenue and Tecumseh Road. We chose this location to purchase the remaining vitamins for our trip for two reasons. After I’d put the ones we still needed in the shopping cart Kathy continued shopping just in case there was something else that we needed at Home. I left the store and walked next door to my final doctor’s appointment for this year. I barely finished a single crossword puzzle when I was called in for my appointment and since everyone that lives in Ontario now has their medical records accessible to all doctors On-line my visit was less than five minutes. He did ask what I’ve been up to so I told him of our two moves this year. He said the way my blood test came back the lifestyle truly agrees with me.
Kathy was waiting in the truck when I was finished so we then headed to Guardian Storage where we collected our Mail before going shopping in our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. When we find there are things (mostly clothing) that we need in the trailer we shop in our storage unit first. The end result is money saved and we wear out our clothing as we need it.
After leaving the storage yard we stopped at Dollarama because Kathy was looking for a picture frame but found them to be too cheap looking. Since it was nearly noon instead of leaving the parking lot went to Harvey’s where using a coupon we both enjoyed a lunch combo for ten dollars. The best part is that you choose what fixings you put on your meal and watch as it’s being done so Kathy can have her mouth-watering fixings while I have my spicy hot fixings. Our next stop was at Walmart where we found the perfect picture frame for what Kathy is trying to create plus some drawer organizers.

We drove to the Tecumseh Mall where Kathy went to Payless Shoes while I parked the truck. Due to the problems she is having with her feet she needs a new pair of dress shoes for an upcoming event. There was nothing there so looking at the Mall Directory we checked out Tootsie’s to see what they had. After trying on nearly a dozen pair of shoes before finding something comfortable we still walked out empty handed because Kathy wasn’t going to pay the supper high price they wanted for those shoes.
We then stopped at Canadian Tire I purchased another set of Deer Whistles. They mount on your vehicle with adhesive tapes that over time stop holding. The whistles themselves have saved us from the type of encounters nobody wants to have so they are an inexpensive type of insurance.

Our final stop was at Princess Auto where we after walking around mostly for exercise I picked up Plastic Wire Loom Cover to protect the cable for the Solar Panels on the roof. Surprisingly it comes in twenty-five foot lengths at Princess Auto and is cheaper than any other auto parts supplier here and in the US.

We finally got Home around 2:30 and we both had chores to do. While Kathy started organizing her drawer I started repackaging the Vitamins we’ve purchased over the last few days. In the end there were ten less containers that will be making the trip south with us this year but ended up in the recycle bin.

Kathy has been trying to talk to our friend Vera for a few weeks but has not been getting any answers. This afternoon Vera called Kathy and nearly went into shock when she was told we’d gotten rid of our trailer but let out a sigh of relief when she was told of our new Home. We made an appointment to have lunch and for her to see our new trailer.
For supper Kathy cooked some Brussel Sprouts and made a nice Salad to go with the Salmon Fillets that were grilled on our Weber. We’re not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow but there is definitely plenty to choose from. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
