Voting, Visiting, More Investigating And Celebrating Thanksgiving.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Last night we both slept fairly soundly after finally getting to sleep. Kathy was still dreaming of Fulltiming in the trailer. What we couldn’t figure was why we were both up wide awake shortly after 7:00 this morning. We finished the quiche that Kathy had made yesterday for our breakfast before going to the computers

Shortly after noon hour we went to the Advanced Polling Station to cast our vote for the upcoming federal election here in Canada. We always make certain to use our democratic rights that were hard fought for and protected by those who have served our country during times of conflict. In some parts of the world people are run by dictatorships and don’t have the same rights we have. For those that don’t vote they give up their right to criticize the government if they don’t agree with their policies and decisions.

We stopped in to visit with our daughter Karen at her home. The family had gone away to the cottage for the long weekend but decided to come home yesterday to beat the holiday traffic. It still took them three hours longer coming home than when the left on Friday. Today would have been terrible driving the highways down from cottage country. Our grandson Tyler wasn’t home last week when we’d told Karen and Greg about our decision to go Fulltiming. When we told Tyler today at first he thought that we were pulling his leg. Then when he realized we were serious he asked how he was going to skateboard to our location for ice cream like he does now at our apartment. We all laughed. 

Yesterday while talking to Grant and Sandy they had told us where they would be moving to. They even suggested after we come off the road that might be the place to move into. Since they’ll be paying a flat rate rent that is cheaper than our present rent it might be something to consider. We checked the area out and like they said we might consider it some years down the road. 

Stopping back at the apartment we gathered everything we were bringing to the Thanksgiving celebration into the car and headed out early. We were on a mission to check out another RV park that we had heard about on the way. When we arrived at the Wildwood Golf and RV Resort the first thing we did was go to the office. Even though neither of us golf we got all the information we needed. We were also given a map of available sites for next season and allowed to drive around and check things out. The park has a laundry room only as big as the one at our apartment but has two pools, a playground, workout room, recreation hall and a restaurant that is open six months of the year.

When we finally arrived at Kevin and Melissa’s we sat and talked about Wildwood Resort. We also talked of other things before sitting down and having our Canadian Thanksgiving Celebration with them. Unfortunately our diets went out the window today as there were so many different dishes to try that were not typical of this holiday. Once the meal was over we spent more time talking of everything that’s gone on in the last couple of weeks. We all agreed that none of us will need to eat breakfast tomorrow morning.

The food was all great but the company was the best. Thanks Kevin and Melissa for celebrating this special day with us. Also we’d like to wish to our extended RV family and followers a Happy Canadian Thanksgiving. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
