Errands And Gathering Supplies Even Free Ones.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Sleeping soundly at night when you are supposed to is really over-rated. Once Kathy’s head hit the pillow she was sound asleep until it was time to get up this morning. I fell straight to sleep but was awake for well over four hours in the middle even after using an extra strength Tylenol to help me relax.

We didn’t spend too much time dawdling this morning as we had a bunch of errands we wanted to do. Our first stop was at the Shoppers Drug Mart that we deal with for our prescription medication. There have been a number of issues that have risen lately and we both went in to get these issues resolved.

Next we stopped at Green Shield so that Kathy could submit her Claim Submission to get her reimbursement for when Mary from Healthy Heals came to work on her feet last week.

Our next stop was Guardian Storage and our trailer. Through the course of conversation we realized that we had not removed all the batteries from some of the personal appliances left in the trailer. It would not have been a problem had we been heading south this winter but leaving them through the entire severe cold weather could have cause them to leak and ruin things. This time when we left we were certain we had removed the last of the batteries.

Kathy definitely needs longer pants for this winter.
Next we went to Sears where Kathy needed to look for more long pants to see her through this coming winter. That hasn’t been an issue whenever we’ve gone south but since we’ll be staying put this year Kathy needs warmer clothing. We struck out at Sears so we thought of other places to try.

Since it was past noon we used a coupon for a tasty Arby’s Beef sandwich combo. It was more than enough to see us through until supper and it was at a much more reasonable price.

The west end Walmart was the closest place for us to search for Kathy’s pants but again we were out of luck. We did find a new bed cover to replace the original one from the trailer. As most RVers know the ones that come in the trailers don’t last too long as the stitching starts to let go. While there Kathy noticed these large boxes that one of the vendors had emptied and was just going to recycle. We asked permission and were given the go ahead to take them. They will be perfect for packing pictures and metal art wall hangings we want to keep when we begin packing up after the Christmas holiday season.

The last stop we made was at U-Haul where we purchase more medium sized moving boxes, packing paper and bubble wrap.

Back at the apartment there was more laundry to do but it went fairly easy. Kathy made macaroni and cheese for supper and it was more than satisfying. Our granddaughter Kylla was supposed to come for a visit tonight but she since she’s working steady midnights and going to school fulltime during the day to become a Registered Nurse we think her sleep was more important. 1. We have always picked up good boxes for packing at the No Frills stores right by the checkouts and the LCBO stores, nice and sturdy and free.
