Out Of This World.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Again we both slept so soundly that after lying in bed for nearly an hour I got up and was doing my morning reading on the computer by 7:00 this morning. Since Canadians held a Federal Election yesterday Kathy and I stayed up well past midnight this morning watching the election results. Kathy once again slept until 8:30 this morning which is understandable because she needs more sleep to survive than I do.

After breakfast while Kathy did her morning reading I headed back outside to try and finish the paint repair on the car. Unfortunately I had left the aerosol paint cans in the car overnight so there was no way anything wanted to come out of the can because they were too cold. I had to bring the cans in to allow them to warm to room temperature which took some time. Making use of that time we had a wonderful Asian style salad with a cup of tea for lunch.

As soon as I’d eaten I started back to spray painting the car only allowing a half hour of dry time between each coat. We had more normal temperatures today so that with a bit of a breeze it seemed to do the trick of making the paint dry faster. The wind has been a bone of contention on this job and it was no different today with gusts at nearly thirty mile an hour. The idea was to get the repair painted to protect the metal from the upcoming winter weather. Of course the wind really picked up just as I was applying the final coat of clear coating. I’ll just have to adjust that final coat when the calmer weather arrives next year.

For supper I grilled some Hungarian Hulka on the Weber Q. It has to be put on a pie tin but there is something about grilling it that adds to the flavor. Served on toast with mustard on the Houlka makes for a complete and tasty meal.

Kathy and I had planned on taking in a movie this afternoon but due to the delays on the car that was impossible so we went to the Devonshire Mall this evening. We had a chance to pick some things up at the Dollar Store and put them in the truck before the movie started. The movie we saw was The Martian in 3D. Many others have written on their blogs how much the enjoyed this movie and we could see why. The movie started just before 7:00 and didn’t end until 9:30. Kathy liked it so much that she forgot her math and gave it four thumbs up. If this movie doesn’t win some sort of award something is wrong.

Tomorrow we have some personal appointments and then I have more work to do on the car. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
