Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
Kathy slept quite well last night until she noticed that I wasn’t
in bed with her but she was able to roll over and go back to sleep. You would
think that I wouldn’t have consecutive nights with hours of sleeplessness but
it just happens. If this kind of thing happens once we start Fulltiming in our
trailer at least we know that whoever is awake won’t disturb the other by
simply going in the back room and closing the door the same as we do here in the
apartment.
We spent some of the day working on the computers. Kathy
worked on her book keeping while I worked on our counter. Those of you that
have followed this blog know that I am notorious for counting things down like
days to our departure south or Christmas. Jan Mains in a comment asked the question if “I had a countdown calendar?” The
answer was “not
at that time!”
For that very reason this morning I added a Countdown
Counter on our sidebar for the date that we will officially become
Fulltimers. Other bloggers have done this in the past so it is not unique other
than the fact that this occasion is for us. The other thing that set me back about
this was actually seeing the time left to that venture. Just setting a date
didn’t trigger the urgency of what has to be done before this important event
but seeing how much time there actually is on the sidebar almost makes one
wonder if we will accomplish everything that must be done by that time. The date
we chose has multiple meaning to us. The first it is the day we celebrate our
birthdays on. Kathy’s birthday is April 29th and mine is May 1st
so we always celebrate on April 30th. We also received the
keys to our former house on that date in 2003. So choosing April 30th as the
first day to start our Fulltiming adventure was only fitting.
I managed to get a workout in this afternoon which felt good
because like I’ve also said I tend to put chores ahead of my own wellbeing. For
supper Kathy had marinated some Spare Ribs for me to grill on the Weber Q. Since the weather was bleak
all day with the forecast of rain and wind that was blowing directly at our
balcony it took longer to grill than I’d hoped for. The end result was fall off
the bone delicious ribs that very few places make that way. I’d just finished
closing up the Weber and covering it up when the rain started in waves. It’s a
good thing we didn’t have a late supper like we’d originally planned or it
would have been a wet supper. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave
a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Love the countdown calendar!! It will come quicker than you can imagine!!
ReplyDeleteNow the first thing you need to remember about RVing is that everything is subject to change. That countdown calendar could be a few days off one way or the other.
ReplyDeleteOne things we like about our coach too is the 2 sliding doors, between the bedroom and the living room. I am usually up one or 2 hours before Suzie so as not to disturb her.
