Cold Night But Luckier Than Most.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

My prediction that we’d be keeping warm under our new bed cover last night was right on the money. Even though the actual temperature only went down to the freezing mark the Windchill went much lower. Fortunately we stayed snuggled under the bedcover keeping us toasty. This is the same bedcover we’ll be taking with us in the trailer next year when we start Fulltiming.
More of the same weather today.
Watching the Weather Network at breakfast we were a little shocked to see that other parts of the province were receiving their first snowfall of the season due in part to the unseasonably cooler than normal temperatures. Al from Travels with the Bayfield Bunch would write how their park looked like a Disney winter wonderland. George from Awesome Travels wrote how they lucked out and only had a heavy frost. This is definitely too early for this kind of weather.

After a light breakfast we busied ourselves reading at the computers. Once that was finished we both worked at updating some of our spreadsheets that we use to keep track of many different things in our lives. I had to measure our bedroom set that we plan on selling so we’d know the dimensions of all the pieces. Kathy then started going through some of our files disposing of the outdated ones so that there will be a lot less that has to be stored. I manned the shredder grinding up those same papers of which most contained some of our personal information. Since our shredder crosscuts that problem has been eliminated.

Once lunch was over we worked together preparing the ingredients for tonight’s supper. Kathy was busy boiling the Corned Beef while I chopped the vegetables to go with it. Today’s onions were so strong that it brought tears to both our eyes even though Kathy was working at the stove. We had a short break while the Corned Beef cooled down so it could be handled. Once I’d cut the meat into small cubes Kathy then finished cooking it all together with the vegetables. It tasted fantastic as it always does and we have enough for another meal..
Kathy tried different pillows today.
The wind blew all day here and has just finally slowed down but the upcoming forecast is for another cold night tonight. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
