Hot Blood Test Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Like many RVers we prefer not to travel on weekends especially long weekends. However the traffic we experienced yesterday was not what we have faced on our few weekend travels in the past. We would have preferred to have relaxed and enjoyed a few more days in the trailer but we had appointments this morning.

Before going to bed last night Kathy suggested that I set the alarm. My response was when we get up we get up. We are normally up between 7:00 to 9:00 depending how late we went to sleep. By not setting the alarm we both slept soundly and we were awake by 7:30 with no pretravel sleeplessness.

Shortly after 8:30 I dropped Kathy off at her family doctor’s office for her six month physical and blood tests. I drove to the Blood Lab I’ve been using for decades. I needed blood tests for both my family doctor and Internalist to be done. I was surprised to walk in their office at the time I did to have no waiting in line. I was only there ten minutes before heading back to pick up Kathy who was surprised that I was back so soon. Her doctor was happy with Kathy’s blood pressure 120/85 and one of the tests she had last week for her Cardiologist had come back very favorable.

Since we’d both fasted and hadn’t eaten breakfast we stopped at A&W where using coupons we enjoyed a wonderfully filling breakfast for only five dollars each. The outside temperature was already feeling above the century mark so we called it a day and headed back to the apartment.

Since this weekend I needed to adjust a few of our spreadsheets that took some time to do. For supper I did brave the heat to grill a couple of salmon fillets on the Weber. With the outside temp hovering at 104 F (40 C) it didn’t take long for them to cook.

This evening we went for a short visit with Karen and Greg at their home. They have a wedding to attend in British Columbia this coming weekend so Kathy and I will be around for Tyler and Kylla if they have problems while their folks are gone. The temperature should be starting to cool down starting tomorrow and we are so looking forward to that. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
