Ghoulish Celebration.

Our Location today is Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

Even though there were plenty of party revelers throughout the resort enjoying the start of long weekend when 11:00 last night came the park fell into total silence. This morning we slept until after 8:00 as the park slowly came back to life with the sounds of children at play.

We were over visiting with the kids shortly after 9:00 as they were getting ready to go to the pool. Even at that early hour the Humidex was already feeling close to the century mark. Though we’d brought our swimsuits along Kathy and I chose to watch from the sidelines. There were just too many children and immature adults splashing the contents of the packed pool along the deck. Because of the intensity of the sun the kids played it smart and left after spending barely an hour at the pool.

After visiting a while longer Kathy and I walked back to the trailer where we started making our lunch. Kathy was busy baking a sweet potato and making a salad while I grilled some spare ribs on the Weber. As soon as we’d eaten and cleaned the dishes we headed back across the park to the kids site.
The Rousseau Family dressed as the Adams Family.
Lots of parks generally hold cold weather occasions during the summer for the sake of the little ones. This weekend this park was celebrating Halloween. Gary and Jen had decked out their site to look like a cemetery. They had decided to dress their gang as the Adams Family. Jen and Emma had even painstakingly created Cousin It and Thing for props. Everyone was covered with makeup and homemade costumes including Jackson who they looked like Hubert the baby with the moustache. After taking some pictures the entire Adams Family went Trick or Treating while Kathy and I passed out the treats to other little pranksters.

After supper the park kept the entertainment rolling by having Karaoke where singers of all ages and experiences got on stage to perform for everyone. Emma only had a chance to perform a single song because there were so many people wanting to perform. We finished the night with another campfire before calling it a night. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
