Hectic Jello Day.

Our Location today is Crystal River, Florida.

Sorry for the lack of pictures due to a poor campground WiFi bandwidth. 

Yes we finally had a warmer night but the furnace was still needed to take the chill out of the air. The temp slipped to 43 F (6 C) and by setting the furnace at a cooler setting it only came on twice for the night. When we sleep comfortably like that there is one drawback that Kathy and I both have. We both wake up early like 6:00 in the morning and can’t fall back to sleep.

Watching the Weather Network and feeling real lucky that the temperatures would burn off the morning fog and reach a high of 70 F (21 C) we started making plans on what we’d like to accomplish with the day. After breakfast we wanted to check our E-mails and morning blogs when our Verizon MiFi said our account had been cancelled. Since we use a prepaid system Kathy tried repeatedly to transfer our credited amount of money to open the account. The Verizon account was not letting her do any of that.

Remember the plans we had made just at breakfast. They just went out the window because now we were on our way to Verizon’s Corporate Outlet in Inverness to get this mess straightened up hopefully for the last time. The weather was comfortable even though we were wearing our jackets and there were foggy patches as we made the drive.

When we arrived we asked for Michael but since he didn’t start for another hour James started doing what he could. For over an hour no matter what he did and a few things that his coworkers suggested still nothing worked. Our account showed our prepaid credit but said we weren’t authorized to use it. Finally the outlet manager Christopher asked how we used it and suggested a change of plan. Forty minutes later we now have a new MiFi set up as if we our year round customers that we simply suspend when we go back home plus we can now access our credit from the old system. The only problem is we need to wait until midnight before it kicks in. Since we aren’t staying up until midnight and will be gone all day tomorrow we won’t know until tomorrow night.

When we came out of the Verizon outlet we looked at all the different store fronts that were in this strip mall. We noticed a Community Blood Center and a Fantastic Sam’s hairstylist and a number of other stores. Since it was already past lunch we thought we’d eat lunch first then do our other errands.

Lunch again was at the Golden Corral but today we watched that we didn’t over eat like we did the last time. Next we stopped at the Life South Community Blood Center where they said they could take me right away. Kathy went exploring at a number of retail outlets to occupy her time until I was finished. The only problem was I’d told her I would probably be an hour and I was finished in half that time.

Our next stop was Fantastic Sam’s where we both needed our hair trimmed. We drove to the far end of the plaza where Kathy found a couple of nice tops that fit her well at Beall’s. Next we drove from one driveway to the next where we went to Walmart to pick up some groceries that should see us until we arrive at our next campground in a week.

As we drove heading back to the trailer we again stopped at Home Depot. Last week I had purchased a number of things I needed one of which was a mason’s string line I needed for a project. I had previously searched the trailer unsuccessfully for the one I was certain I had. The day after my purchase the one I had been searching for practically jumped out at me. So after that one was returned I picked a few other things up that I’d forgotten the other day.

We arrived back at the trailer just before 5:00 and even though it was supper time we were both just slightly hungry. Kathy suggested I grill some Egg Rolls on the Weber. Using the technique best described by George the Weber Q Man I did them low and slow for about fifteen minutes and they turned out perfect.

We did accomplish a lot today but only the stop at Home Depot had been planned. Everything is written in jello when you’re an RVer.  Another busy one tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
