Pain For Pain.

Last night was a slight bit better, with only the one move from the Recliner to Bed. When I woke this morning, I actually felt rested, even though it was the Pain in my Shoulder that woke me up.

Kathy woke at the same time as I did and while she used the Bathroom, I opened the Balcony Blinds. That was a mistake. It appeared to be Fog again, but it was actually a Fine Rain that was forecasted to increase as the day wore on.

We splurged for breakfast, by having a Mixed Berry Muffin with our Yogurt Cups. With an appointment scheduled for this afternoon, we took what time we could while enjoying our Coffees at our Computers.

We were out the door close to 12:00 when the Rain grew more intense. Not one for getting wet, Kathy waited by the rear door for me to bring the Car around. She appreciates my acts of being protective and loving.

Not knowing when we would be able to eat later, we stopped at Popeye’s which was on the way. The $4.00 Menu has a few selections that will satisfy your cravings, without weighing you down.

When we arrived at the Howard Avenue Medical Center, it was Raining so hard that Kathy chose to stay in the Car instead of sitting in the Waiting Room with me. When the Rain later slowed a bit, she came inside but did not see me because I was already in the Examination/Treatment Room. What I do not like about the Windsor Pain Care Clinic, is you are given an appointed time, but they are always running late. Since I am always early, I heard Three more patients come in to see the same Doctor at the same Time. What a racket that is. I was seen Ninety Minutes late. Since I have been experiencing issues that could only have been caused by the Nerve Block Medications I take at home, the Doctor adjusted the dosage. Minutes later I left as a Human Pin Cushion and sometimes I could swear he is hitting the Bone.

Kathy had just gotten back to the Car when I joined her. She had a nap, read a few chapters in the book that she brought and even helped another woman find an office when she went to look for me.

She was getting hungry again, but we stopped at Health First Pharmacy to pick up my Prescription. They had just received the FAX so there was a Ten-Minute delay.

We then had time to go to Wendy’s for supper. We enjoyed their Chicken Nuggets for the meal. Paula was happy to see us, since we are normally regular customers.

Since it was Thursday and past 4:00 we stopped Shoppers Drug Mart to take advantage of their Senior’s Discounts before finally heading for home. We saved over Thirty Dollars.

As I was dropping Kathy at the front entrance to keep her dry, she asked how was I going to stay dry. I answered, “by running between the drops”. She could only shake her head.

I had noted the Rain was coming from the Northeast, so I too went through the front entrance in an attempt to stay slightly dryer. As soon as I got in the Apartment, I took the Recycle Containers out to the Bins outside. My Coat is still drying.

While watching the “6 o’clock Local News” the Weather Guesser really threw us a curve ball when he forecasted next Thursday to stay below the Freezing Mark again. It is still Winter.

We later watched “Law and Order Special Victims” and “The Pitt”. It just keeps you guessing.
