She Slept, Restocking and A Phone Interview.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Even thought Kathy was tired from not sleeping Saturday Night she didn’t want a repeat and took a Tylenol Night-Time Tablet before going to bed. It seemed to work as she only remembers going to bed then waking later this morning. She normally takes a few days to recover from those restless nights so she still felt tired the entire day.

Our day was not too invigorating to start with as the Clouds complete hid the Sun. If you looked down at the parking lot you could see dry pavement under the vehicles that had not moved so it was just a light Drizzle.

We had Beef Stew for lunch to go along with the tasty Biscuits that Kathy baked as a side. She also topped it off with Plums, Chocolate Chip Cookies and an Apple Sauce Cup for dessert.

We’ve been trying to use up some of the extra food we had stocked in our Pantry Drawers and have been doing a fair job of it. However as Kathy often says it’s better to have that in case there comes a time we can’t get out. With the forecast of upcoming wet weather heading our way we thought that today was the perfect time to restock. After looking in the Fridge, Freezer and Pantry Drawers we had quite a list of things to pick up.

The sky was really Cloudy but
the Camera makes it look Sunny.

It was quite comfortable outside with 57 F (14 C) with no noticeable wind when we headed out to the Car.

The first place we went to was Dollarama where we stocked up on a number of Food Stocks saving us at least half of what it would have cost at the grocery store.

Next we went to the Bulk Barn where we again saved money on the Nuts and Raisins we eat as snacks.

While I put that in the Car Kathy got a head start in the produce section at Zehr’s grocery store. It took nearly an hour by the time we finished getting everything on our List.

We lucked out to find a Grocery Cart inside the rear entrance of the building. To say it was quite full would be an understatement. Kathy headed upstairs to the Apartment while I parked the Car. Timing was perfect as it started to Rain just as I got ready to head in myself.

It took over a Half Hour to get everything put where it belonged. When I checked my E-Mail I found a Message that had been sent minutes after we left to go shopping. It was a follow-up on a Job I applied for yesterday requesting I call for an interview. I was on the phone with Stuart for Fifteen Minutes and thought it went well.

On the 6 o’clock Local News they talked mostly about the Vaccines and the number of Coronavirus Cases throughout Ontario. Then they gave the numbers for the Chatham/Kent region but said they didn’t have any numbers for our area because of the holiday weekend. ????

On the weather front we should be seeing some Above Seasonal Temperatures before we have another cool down.

We watched another “Murder She Baked Mystery”. It wasn’t the police that solved the crime.

  1. I'm confused. When you talk about the grocery carts at the apartment, are those stolen carts from the local stores or are they the purchased fold up kind?

  2. Stolen from local stores but the stores pick them up when they are put where there suppose to be but most times they are left in the rear entry way!

  3. You had a full day of it. It is always smart to have a little more than you need just in case.
