Another Shot and “Tomorrowland” Fund Raiser.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

It really was not as restful a night’s sleep as I’d hope to have so without anything Planned for this morning I thought of waiting until Kathy got up. Unlike most mornings she was awake before 8:00 so we were off to an early start anyways.

With Cloudy skies it's hard to see the trees turning green.

Even though I had a Job Interview yesterday I wasn’t hired yet so there were a few more Applications made today.

Surprising for a Saturday there weren’t as many Blogs to read as during the week. With extra time on my hands I managed to get a Full Set of all my exercise routine complete.

We had Chicken and Rice Soup for our early lunch along with Orange Slices, Chocolate Chip Cookies as well as Yogurt Cups for dessert. While my Coffee was busy cooling I got showered off. As soon as my drink was finished we headed out the door shortly after 12:30.

If you recall on Good Friday Kathy was fortunate enough to get her first Pfizer Coronavirus Vaccine at the WFCU Center. With the Provincial Government securing more doses of the Vaccine I was able to sign up to get mine and today was the day.

We went through the same routine as Kathy did and within Ten Minutes I’d had my injection. Unlike Kathy they wanted everyone to sit for Twenty Minutes rather then Fifteen. We’ll both be contacted when to go in for our second shot.

Back at the Apartment we had a chance to do a few more things On-Line including another job posting. When I read it was steady Midnights it was quickly deleted. After years of doing swing shifts that would be the shift I don’t want to be stuck on.

Bronze sculpture in the lobby.

We had just turned on the Television when we saw a futuristic looking scene that we had to check out. It was the movie called “Tomorrowland” starring George Clooney. Since we don’t have any special way of seeing this we started wondering how it was on.

Every Year our local community raises funds for people of special needs under the heading of the Easter Seals Campaign. Due to the Coronavirus last year it was cancelled so this year they found a way to do it without having huge numbers of people manning phone banks. By spreading this Fund Raiser over Four Weeks and having a Special Movie courtesy of Disney each time they managed to to raise a generous amount of cash for those in the area. That movie was Fantastic.

On the 6 o’clock Local News they reported 45 New Cases of the Coronavirus bringing the Total Number of Active Cases to 426. Fortunately we only saw 1 more Death. Our high temperature today was only 73 F (23 C) and we’ll be cooling down to Seasonal Temps for the next couple of weeks.

We had Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls along with Vegetable Rice for supper topped off with a Date Square for dessert.

We later watched a Hallmark movie called “As Luck Would Have It” for our evening entertainment.

I’ll let you know how my Vaccine is working tomorrow.

  1. Hope your feeling okay after the vaccine. Leave those crazy shifts to the younger kids. Hopefully this time next year we'll have enough people dosed up that this covid crap will come to an end and life can resume as per.
