After having an enjoyable time at Kevin and
Melissa’s Halloween Party last night we both
decided just to sleep in this morning. Something like that is easy to
say but sometimes hard to do. After waking at 7:00 I figured if I
just laid there I would doze off again. It was also toasty under the
blankets but eventually my back told me it was time to get up. What
happen to my Eye’s Blinking and Time flying by when
you want?
Opening the Window Shades it was still
overcast with a slow steady breeze. As we were having breakfast the
Greens Crew were going around using Gas-Powered Blowers
to dry off the Greens of any standing water from yesterday’s
Rain.
While doing our morning reading we reviewed
what we had to do before our departure and when we would have time to
do them. That was when we noticed that we were getting low on certain
personal articles of clothing. Just as I was suggesting that it could
wait it started raining harder then it did all day yesterday.

For lunch I chopped Bacon and Onions
for Kathy to make an Omelet that we would share. It hit
the spot and not only gave us the energy we would need but it helped
us finish off the remaining Eggs that we would not be able to
cross the International Border
with.
Today there was nobody else in the
Park Laundry Room so I had my choice of Washers and
Dryers. Since we were also cleaning our Bed Sheets
along with our Clothes I solved some Cryptograms while
keeping a close eye on the Dryers.
Our neighbour Mike came over to talk to me for
a bit but I just kept folding our clothes as we spoke. We’ll be
doing him a favour tomorrow,
It was after 6:00 when I got back Home.
Kathy had done some Housecleaning and Bookkeeping, even
with her Arthritic Hand, while I was gone and hadn’t taken
anything out for supper.
We were both tired enough that we didn’t feel
like cooking so we headed towards Essex.
A quick review of what they had to offer we chose to eat at A-1
Chinese Food. When we walked in we had a choice of
ordering from a Menu and waiting for our food or we could eat
from the Buffet. Bad Choice! The Buffet allowed
us to eat earlier, but we Overate. Nothing compared to a
couple of years ago but since we’ve been watching our intake we ate
sensibly but it was still too much.
It was after 8:00 when we got back Home.
I still had too finish making the bed and putting away the Laundry.
Tomorrow we’ll take care of other things before we leave. Thank

I've decided, other than a few choice places, one being Lin's in Yuma, the other being family functions, that avoiding buffets is a good idea. I always seem to eat too much.

Yup good old Chinese food we had Mexican food the other day and paid for it the next two days. We're getting close to getting out of here also. Heading to the hospital next Monday to have are new grandson. Then we're out of here.
ReplyDeleteGoing to try and beat the snow. Been watching the weather and there's some bad storms headed are way. The snow level is coming down.

Eggs? I knew you couldn't bring in meat or citrus fruit, but I've never heard about eggs.
ReplyDeleteWe have found buffets get us everytime...lol no matter how small of portions you take there are just to many choices.
ReplyDeleteI wish we were to the point of counting down to leave but we are still a couple weeks from that. Oh well, at least, this will be our last year dealing with the stuff in the house. You two are so organized I am sure you will get through the countdown with ease and be on your way to warmer weather, no problems.

It's strange the rules going from one country to another. The party sounds like you all had a great time! I can't remember the last time we've been to a buffet and the fact we eat way too much is the reason! Even though it's tempting sometimes!
