We’re Ready!

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Kathy woke during the night and just couldn’t fall back to sleep so she thought that she’d try reading. Sure enough just reading a single chapter in her book helped her to relax so that when she returned to bed it wasn’t long for her to fall back to sleep.
We chose to wrap the gifts differently this year.
Even though I had gotten up to check on her I managed to be up before 7:30 and it was nearly 9:00 before Kathy was awake. After a breakfast of cereal and coffee we got things rolling fairly early. With only 141 days left before Christmas Kathy and I finished wrapping the very last of our Christmas gifts. By 11:00 we were finished and now we can concentrate on other things like a short trip, doctor’s appointments, working on the truck and trailer and getting ready for our trip south this winter.

I called our son Gary, my aunt Anna and my sister Anna before lunch to set a date that we could visit when we head out on the 17th of this month. The only person that I didn’t talk to was my sister so I left a message that I’d call back tonight. Once that call was made we knew that we wouldn’t be missing anyone on our visits.

After lunch we needed to do some walking so we headed over to the Devonshire Mall. Going there allowed us to again investigate some of the newer stores that we had never been in before and to start planning on one of our grandchild’s future birthday gifts. We took our time and after an hour and a half we left with our wallet still weighing the same as when we arrived.

It was still too early to go home for supper so we stopped in to visit with Kathie and Ross. Unfortunately Ross is away doing Security for a company that safeguards buildings that have had fires and other things like the Tornado that hit Goderich back in 2010. Kathie is presently healing after having had her knee scoped and she says it is feeling worse now than before the surgery.

Back at the apartment I grilled a couple of hamburgers on the Weber Q while Kathy made a salad to go with the remaining potato salad from yesterday. That Weber Q always cooks the meat just perfectly.

Even though we had planned to go test our television at Karen and Greg’s today we never made it. The weather forecast predicted no rain for today but the way the sky clouded up at supper we thought for sure we were going to get soaked but it didn’t happen. Guess we’ll just have to wait and do it tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
