B-Boppin Forgetful Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

For some reason last night both Kathy and I had a restless night of sleep. She tossed and turned, stared at the ceiling, went to the computer to read the blogs that had posted late before returning to the bedroom and finally falling asleep. I tossed and turned stared at the ceiling and finally got out of bed after my back said four hours of pain was too much. After I paced around for ten minutes and looking out the various windows in the apartment before sitting partially reclined in the living room. I recalled slipping in and out of sleep until just before 6:30 when I finally went back to bed to sleep.

Amazingly we were both up by 8:30 but there was no time for breakfast because Kathy had to go for blood tests that required her to fast. I do not believe in eating when she couldn’t so I also fasted until she was also able to eating. She was finished with her blood tests by 9:30 but had to get a mix up on future appointments straightened out before we could leave. We stopped at A&W and each had a Bacon & Egger sandwich and coffee for just over six dollars using coupons of course.
Having taken the truck this morning from there we headed to Vehicle Venture to see if the bushings for the Air-Gate had come in. A quick call to the Stromberg Carlson Company in Michigan verified the parts had cleared Canada Customs but just had to be delivered by Fed-Ex. They told us they would call us as soon as the parts arrived so we took off.
We went to Metropolitan Hospital because our friend Vera was having knee surgery today and we were going to make certain that Bill her husband was taking care of himself. After parking and working our way through that maze they call a hospital we found out that their son and daughter-in-law were in town and had taken Bill out to eat and since Vera was still in recovery we headed for home.
We no sooner walked in the door and we realized we’d forgotten to stop at VitalAire to pick up the replacement harness for my CPAP mask. As we were getting settled in and replanning our day the phone rang and Vehicle Venture was calling to tell us the parts were in. Away we go again this time taking the car. I forgot to mention earlier in this post that a lot of midsummer road construction started throughout the city today and it was on all the routes we were travelling.
At Vehicle Venture the packages they had received were hardware kits for the Air-Gate not what we had ordered. They opened a package and gave me the bushings that will allow me to safely install the Air-Gate for now and they’ll straighten it up with the company.
We stopped at the Hospital again to see Vera but because she didn’t have a room yet she was still in recovery so we couldn’t see her again. We stopped to fuel the car on the way back to the apartment thinking we could relax when we got home. Wrong! At the apartment we remembered we’d forgotten to stop at VitalAire again and we also had another phone message. Sears Furniture called saying Kathy’s desk had arrived and was ready for pick up.
Taking the truck again and after maneuvering through the construction for the third time today we first stopped at VitalAire for the harness (third time was a charm) before continuing on to Sears Furniture to pick up the desk. Time just flew by today and we weren’t having much fun so we drove close to home before stopping at Taco Bell where we used another coupon for a ten dollar supper. After all that running around we did accomplish some things and not so much was accomplished on other things. We ended up very tired from a very busy day and a bad night of sleep. Hopefully we won’t have the same problem tonight.
There is a lot less to get ready tomorrow for our trip now that we did most of it today but there’s still a lot of shaking going on. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Sure looks like a lot of driving around in circles and you did not have fun? Two fast food places in one day too.

  2. I had rather get all the errands done on the same day...I don't like doing errands!

    I enjoyed the birds!
