Cleaning and #%^* Computers.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

We were both relieved to wake up this morning shortly after 8:00 feeling refreshed after having a good night’s sleep. Since it was already raining and the forecast was more of the same for the rest of the day Kathy was already making plans to start cleaning the apartment while I stripped the bed and did the laundry.

First we both needed to make a couple of phone calls. Since we purchase out of province travel insurance we try to buy it during the Early Bird Special period where we save money getting it early. The problem was that we had not heard back from the provider Medi-Pac so Kathy had to call to make certain they had our applications and we'd still be eligible  for the discount. Then it was my turn to make certain that the parts for the Air-Gate will be at Vehicle Venture before we leave on the weekend.
By the time I got downstairs to the laundry room I knew that it was going to be a long day. The room was packed and I could only get one washer at a time and had to wait the same with the dryers. I even had my first load into a dryer before my last load got put in the washer. Time seemed to be flying because I had to keep busy moving the clothes around.

Once I had everything going in the dryers I ran upstairs with only twenty minutes before my first load of dried clothes would be ready. I was only a minute late on my return but the place was still packed with different people than earlier and it seemed everyone had the same idea to do their laundry today. I was finished folding the first dryer load just as the second was finished and I finished it before the last dryer was finished.

Kathy had the apartment shining by the time I got back. She then needed to print out some information concerning our new NOAA radio but her PC didn’t seem to want to go online so I offered her the use of my laptop. No matter how hard I tried for nearly an hour to make that printer work on the Windows 7 it just wouldn’t work. I even tried online downloads and tech support who only came up with lame excuses including the printer was shot. Finally Kathy went online with her laptop connected to the same printer that the techs said was shot and managed to print All the downloads she’d been trying to do earlier.

I then remade the bed that I had stripped this morning while Kathy made us a nice salmon and pasta supper with a tomato salad to top it off. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. We have always found Mondays are a busy laundry day everywhere, so tend to do it Tues to thurs whenever possible. And found that the commercial laundry mats can almost always do 3-4 loads at once washed a dried in less than 40 minutes, usually worth the short drive.
