Today was a laidback lazy kind of day. With only waking a few times through the night and then sleeping until nearly 9:00 made it so that we felt well rested.
After breakfast we did our usual E-mail and blog reading. Afterwards Kathy worked on upgrading and reorganizing her new Recipe File Box. Myself I put my workout clothes on and tried to work off a few extra calories that I am bound to gain tomorrow when we sit down to celebrate our Canadian Thanksgiving with some of the kids and their families.
All our meals today were very health conscious not only because of our celebration tomorrow but Kathy is having trouble with her glucose level being high. She does not eat anything that with carbohydrates and very little fruit and even with a change to her medication it is climbing. There has been speculation that it could be too much stress from everything going on around us that could be the problem. I don’t think that is entirely the problem.
After supper we went to have a short visit with our Friends Bill and Vera. If you were reading our blog back in July you would recall that Kathy and I had invited them to come with us on a trip to the Hot Springs in Wyoming. Kathy did all the planning and reservations ahead of our departure time. The only thing she didn’t and couldn’t plan on was the high temperatures and even higher humidity we were exposed to.
We made stops to see the Wisconsin Dells, in Wall Drug South Dakota, Thermopolis Wyoming, Colorado Springs Colorado, Branson and St. Louis Missouri. By the time we got back home we had covered nearly four thousand miles with lots of memories and pictures to remember it by.
Our visit tonight was to present these very dear friends of ours with a special gift. We gave them an electronic picture frame with all the pictures we had taken throughout our trip with them. They were overwhelmed by this thinking we would only make them a few pictures of the trip but now they would be able to sit back and watch as these memories will play out before them.
To all our Canadian blog readers here is wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. Also to our American blog readers I hope you all have a wonderful Columbus Day tomorrow. To all our blog readers there is 78 days left before Christmas.
Thanks for following along with us and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Thanksgiving get together today and remember to not eat too much.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely gift idea! We took my inlaws along with us earlier in the year on a trip to Ohio and perhaps we will do the same for Christmas.
