Busy Visiting Day

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

This morning we knew that we didn’t need to rush off anywhere so we played at the computers after having our breakfast. The best thing was that we were comfortable doing it without any worries. By lunch time we started getting a little more serious about what we were doing.

The leftover Chinese Food from our supper out with our good friends Kathie and Ross last night tasted just as good for lunch today. Shortly after 1:00 we left the apartment heading back to Kathie and Ross’s for yet another day of visiting and a little celebrating as well.
This was an early birthday celebration for Liam their soon to be seven year old grandson. The reason for the early celebration was because his great-grandmother has never missed one of his birthdays but will be leaving for Florida in the morning. It seems that even though Liam is only turning seven the toys of today are much more high tech then what they were years ago. When children start rattling off the names of all these battle characters that you have never heard of you are glad to leave that to their parents to remember. It also shows that it’s been a long time since you watched any cartoons.

After gifts were opened pizza and salad were served and then the cake and ice cream there was still more conversation that was enjoyed before it was time to head home. As we were leaving we had to promise to try to visit Theresa (Liam’s great-grandmother) while we are down in Florida this winter.
Since it is Sunday night we drove straight to our daughter Karen’s home for our weekly visit. As usual her home was a flurry of activity. They were just cleaning up their supper table and doing the dishes. Greg had taken Sandford for his after supper walk. Kylla had worked the midnight shift until 7:00 this morning. The family had gone for their yearly family portrait this afternoon. Tyler had slept over at one of his hockey team buddy’s house last night and said they stayed awake until 3:00 this morning. Now this eleven year old was struggling to finish his homework.
Tyler struggling with Math homework.
Part of the homework was Mathematics and both Kathy and I agreed with both Karen and Greg that the school system has made what used to be straight forward math and made it very complicated. They say it is to make the students have a better understanding of the process. The new process was confusing everyone in the room let alone Tyler who needed to do his homework.

After a busy day and all that math homework Kathy and I were glad to be home and happy we only had to figure out that Christmas is only 64 days away. Thanks for following and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
