Wading From The Car.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

As expected from all the walking we did in the direct Sunlight, neither of us were awake beyond laying our heads on our pillows last night.

It was minutes past Eight this morning when we both started our day. With nothing Planned because of the forecasted weather, we were surprised that it had not yet Rained. Checking the Radar showed that we had a few hours to ourselves, but that would change shortly after noon. I simply said to Kathy, “Let’s go” and she started getting ready. Our Coffees were finished in gulps before we headed out the door.

Walking out the rear door, Kathy was happy she wore her Denim Jacket. The forecast showed it was 73 F (23 C) but the 39 MPH (63 KLH) North Wind Gust made it feel colder.

The large Canadian Flag a the Zehr’s grocery store was holding steady, thanks to the Wind, as if made with metal.

Our morning snacks were long gone so we stopped at Arby’s for lunch. They have a Big Screen Television in their Dinning Room, that is set to The Weather Network. At the moment that Kathy saw the Severe Storm Warning heading our way, I was watching Thick Black Clouds suddenly start to fill the sky.

Both the Dinning Room Set and my Radar had forecasted a 2:00 start to the Rain and it was only 11:30 so we headed to Walmart to get some walking exercise. We barely got halfway around the store, when we heard the sound of Thunder as if it was directly over our heads. We headed for the Car.

The Rain all the way home required the use of the Wipers the entire way. We sat by the front entrance for nearly Five Minutes for the Rain to slow enough for Kathy to go in. I barely parked the Car when it looked like a Fire Hose was pointed at the Car. After sitting there for nearly another Five Minutes the Rain started to let up. As I got out of the Car another vehicle going by creating a 6 Inch Tidal Wave that washed over my ankles. The moment I got in the Apartment I had to empty the Water out of my Shoes.

We were just getting comfortable at our Computers when at 1:30, both our Cell Phones started emitting an Emergency Broadcast. There was an active Tornado in our Area but I didn’t panic and explained why to Kathy. Most of the Storms we get, come across from the State of Michigan and the Detroit River is a Mile Wide its entire length. No Glass started to shatter, nor did the Building start to shake. The temperature did drop to 63 F (17 C) which meant we were able to shut the Air Conditioner. We have no idea at this time how the LaSalle Strawberry Festival fared out.

It was close to 6:00 when we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pizza for supper.

We later watched a “Murder Mystery” for entertainment.

With cooler, dry weather tomorrow, we should be keeping busy.
